Didn't see any images. As soon as the flash (or whatever) animation
begins, I'm out of there.

Galleries are all made by flash free system called Simpleviewer or
similar used by many sites. The photos selected by years are shown by
the php gallery system used called phpgraphy an opensource piece of
code.
What part of "or whatever" didn't you read?
Let me try this one or more time: as soon as the animation of the site
begins, I'm gone.
Others have told you similar things before. Use pbase, picassa,
panoramio, photo.net, etc. etc. etc. - they don't force animations and
"wait while loading".
You just get the image. Which is the objective.

"SimpleViewer is a free, customizable Flash image gallery."
http://www.simpleviewer.net/simpleviewer/
Until now, it's the best Flash-based viewer I've seen. And I regularly use
it myself, so you won't see me complaining. :-)

I'm not against bells or whistles as Alan, but I do think the
"tiltviewer" presentation far too cute. All that "whoosh" noise and
floating action adds nothing to the photos.

But your http://www.arumes.com doesn't have that annoying
"tiltviewer" feature. Your photos load quickly and are presented
simply.

Ah, I see. I only clicked on "Best 2007", which is the Simpleviewer
version I use. I agree that the Tiltviewer is annoying at best.

Thanks. :-)
I agree
If folks don't know how to secure their own computer and are paranoid of
animations...
that's their problem.
The site loaded fine here...but really
I did not care for that tilt view either.
The images are more important that playing silly optical games
