tuned and pruned and at one point things were just right. But they
didn't know when to say "when" and continued until the economy had no
more protections against the common problems of capitalism. The New
Deal institutions have been their pinata. Luckily their War Economies
finally booted em out.

i read a interesting article recently and i should have saved it. by
the time harding came into office, it was to late, the world had
changed, but not "THE CONSERVATIVE". harding tried for four years to
reverse the world, but america was no longer rural, poor, and stupid.
it was becoming like europe, heavily populated, and urban. once that
happens, lots of problems arise with capitalism, as adam smith wrote,
it will not work when there are so many poor, exploited, with huge
wealth inequality, and a economic aristocracy.
harding died in office exhausted trying to resurrect "THE
CONSERVATIVE" world of small government that let robber barons run
free, the exact opposite of what a majority of the founders
envisioned. he failed, because in a modern world, one after another
problem arise, and if those problems are not addressed fairly and
quickly, things spiral out of hand.
the election was more to do with revulsion against "CONSERVATIVE"
polices, than with demographics. in many cases the angry white stupid
males already have their own personal socialism and safety net
cinched(although they are to stupid to know it, and to stupid to know
that the ones they voted for, would snatch it away as soon as they
can), its the youth that is poor and exploited, and it matters not
what color or ethnic back round, they know they are getting screwed.
obama i think is to stupid to know that also, and he will try the neo-
liberal way one more time. his presidency may be know for 8 long years
of trying to resurrect a failed system.

You know, if the Republicans aren't going to stand up to the Democrats
stealing elections why would I ever vote for another Republican?
I might as well vote for the Libertarians every time rather than trying
to help Republicans, if they lay down I'd rather waste a vote on a
Libertarian that might actually call for a recount.

The Libertarians won the elections by the simple fact that the winners
were for a Liberal Social agenda and a Conservative economic agenda.
The House of representatives where *ALL* revenue must begin was NOT only
kept in Republican hands but it gained Republican seats.
The President that has NO power over Revenue was elected for his Liberal
social agenda.... Women getting free birth control and free abortions
and pot smoking and and Gays getting married.
