Why is it so difficult to see your own crimes? Why is it so difficult to
see through eyes of others? The mind tries to find an escape at any cost.
Find joys of the moment, leave the past behind! Stay focused. Stay
positive. Weren't those people suffered because of me? Wouldn't I feel the
pain in their place? When it hurts we ask why. Well, may be because of
what we did? Or may be there is no reason. Don't you remember to be a
scared child? When others would have power to come and take your life away?
How could you explain to them that they should not kill you? Don't kill me,
please... Should I take his life if my superior says so? Should I betray my
comrades? I am not better than them. I may be a killer, but I did not
betray anyone except my soul.

Spent half of my life in Eastern Europe. History where the nation ate its
own flesh. Two thirds of population murdering the other third. Forty
million dead? Sixty million? One hundred million? Who knows? One death is
too many. And amnesia is above all, others are guilty but not us, others
but not me. Why not? We are not who we think we are. We are not who we were
taught to be. Skulls with bullet holes in the same spot, mass graves,
papers with lies in every sentence and above all the big Slavic soul in
tiny kitchen talks.
Live on the American continent now. Amnesia goes deeper. Hundred million
people comprised of thousand nations exterminated and we call the
executioners "Forefathers". We have the largest prison population in the
world - and we call it "The Land of the Free". Millions of poor oblivious
to the fact that their lives are quizzed and discarded. Empty talks,
medicated minds, fat bodies - unlike Slavs we are the nation of tiny souls
in big kitchens. Other nations scream with exploding bodies of their
youths, but we hear not, others are guilty but not us, others but not me.

What is it in us? Survival at any cost? Is this disagreement of the mind
just an aberration? Is this just a lack of tuning to healthy patriotism? Is
the amnesia the gift of nations? There is no reason to be right, there is
only reason to think you're right, and afterwards the questions are no
more.

If you believe in God, then there is an edict or Command
which states
"Thou shalt not kill".
So anyone who kills another human is in direct defiance of
God and is thus disobedient to God.
This includes abortion also.
America is openly and publicly in direct defiance of God, so
also anyone who kills another human.

Having just read your letter, the above sentence infers it is a crime
to be born in certain circumstances.I often joke with one of my best
friends (a German...and me English originally), that because our
fathers were busy shooting at each other, perhaps we should, then I
will try to hit him on the head with my coffee spoon...

I dont know if you heard the famous story from the first world war,
where,on Christmas day, hostilities were ceased for the day, and the
enemies played soccer and exchanged gifts. It was only recently
discovered, that the officers who organised this were court
marshaled !!!

Because when involved is such activities, most see the same: are
caught up in 'group eyes'.Good people can get grabbed by the 'lynch
mob' mentality.

The suffering was shared. Would you involve in such activities if you
are in a free open society. From what you have written, I think not!

Nothing happens without reason. If you wish to discover this, decide
to make the effort to.

You 'are' your soul, and your soul becomes wise 'only' with
experience, which is why children in places like Darfur (child
soldiers) can be killers in such circumstances, and grow up to be
valuable citizens.

Most countries have had a similar history....

I hope this makes sense to you.

Memory is mostly there for our benefit in day to day life, but when
you are born into such horrors (THROUGH NO FAULT OF YOUR OWN), then
memories are no longer of any value. There are special service
soldiers who are 'de briefed' after some events, and that doesnt mean
they have been counseled, but actually have their memories 'wiped',
either electronically, or chemically. This is an artificial way of
doing what nature does naturally.

Those who are responsible for such atrocities, have a very different
experience!!!

>We are not who we think we are. We are not who we were

Absolutely. This is the first step of awareness. We do however, have
to experience what we do, to realize this.

Then let it go, and see the past, as the past of human conflict, which
is generic.

There is a monumental difference, and the word 'free' is the clue.
Many choose their actions.

Each of us is born into a situation in accord with our level of a
priori awareness

> Other nations scream with exploding bodies of their

Then we are all 'guilty' of being born human...which is simply not the
case.

If you were born with spina bifida, would you be born guilty ?

Some are born with an overactive 'power' gene. They have a rare
combination of ideology and the power to achieve leadership status, as
some are born to follow.
Some out of choice, some, like the child soldiers of Darfur.

And the wisdom grows.....

Excellent but painful question. Here is a partial consideration.

Beginning with "Why is it so difficult to see your own crimes" which
references crimes or any action done by a government, or any group, in
which this 'you' is living.

Fact is, most people can not 'see'. It is not merely difficult, it is
physically impossible. This simple aspect must be the primary given here
upon which all else rests. Now 'seeing' is transferred away from seeing
the act and placed on seeing information about the act. Reported
information being central to what most people 'see' and conditioned
perspective through which they see.
