Nature becomes prisons when we move away from the bonds of nature.
Bonds of nature are what we call love, compassion for the fellow men
or that feelings of social values which makes us live in harmony with
nature and with our fellowmen. And this makes us live as the children
of nature. Today we are no more the children of nature when we have
all lost all those natural social values, nature’s bond or that
natural wealth,called, love.
We mechanically adjust to this situation, say, by locking our children
in the prisons called day-care centers and schools, and our parents in
old age homes, and ourselves in bigger prisons called factories,
offices and such artificial systems of man exploiting man.
Torture is what the children suffer in the inhuman conditions in
schools when they have been otherwise in domestic conditions of
parental care and studying from nature and parents, a natural practice
which their ancestors of successive back generations enjoyed. And
hence mankind lived for millions of years. Torture is what our parents
suffer silently in the new prisons being erected everywhere today--as
old-age homes--when they would have been otherwise talking to their
children and grandchildren, stories. And torture is what we all have
in factories and in other professions as we run from pillar to post in
order to meet the dead-lines which are the fast growing imperatives of
a highly mechanized society and this is when we always feel ourself of
the new mortal fact that ‘man has no time to take his time. And
torture is what is coming as it is in the form of fumes, pollutions,
love-less or spirit-less rituals of vicious circles which we so
lavishly indulge in as the growing imperatives of FORMALITIES a
completely commercialized mechanical society.
And what have all these given us? More problems, crises, catastrophic
crises…………… cummulating weight of which
is what is being heard as the shrieks coming as SOS ringing the
holocaust bell from everywhere. Are not we loading the proverbial
camel, as it is the man today, with the last straw that is about to
break the camel’s back?
This may be a highly incomplete/inadequate statment. Here, however, I

With Regards

Nature ( e.g. The earth ) owns us.
We don't own it.
If we're not "Good little children,"
Nature will evict us from it's planet.
It's inane hubris, To think:
"Humans need to _Save_ the planet."
Poppycock!
We can hardley even save ourselves...
Much less the planet!
The greem movement should humble itself
( But it won't ) and admit that nature
( The earth ) is our landlord...
We're just the tenants...
Not vice versa.

There's two ways you can avoid this:
- 1 - Un-check your settings in the "Auto Correct"

- 2 - First Paste ( ^V ) into NotePad.EXE,
Then re-select ( ^A ) and re-copy ( ^C ) it

Human love is an emotion. Just like the human emotions of hate and
fear. Love is simply the flip side of the coin of hate/can't have one
without the other. Belongs to nature as a duality as do all things in
the physical universe as perceived by minds.

No sense whining about it. Generalizing, and attempting to assign
meaning to 'we'. Problems without solutions are pretty useless.

Your a funny guy. I guess you long for the 'good old days'. (there never
were any good old days)

Bad old evil society anyway........ (I can see REVOLUTION in the cards...)

Is this a warm-up rhetoric stumping or the real thing. If it is the
real thing - don't quit your day job.

We need some worn out cliches here......

Mike Dubbeld
Being from an impoverished village of a third world nation,INDIA, I
have my own limitations, especially in responding to you in time. And
I may not be able to come up to your expectations in academic styles
as well.
Nevertheless, belonging to the same species and sharing the critical
ahe of mankind, we may have much in common to discuss. I would like to
start first on our views about RIGHT and WRONG.
What is right and what is wrong, what is the truth and what is false,
what is good and what is evil are all the biggest questions
confronting everyone, including you and me, today. But, how man
resolved these vital questions through ages?
Going along the written path of human history, it is seen that man has
followed two methods to answer these questions. And they are Deduction
and Induction. And, interestingly, both these methods are opposed to
one another. And this is the story of how man’s penchant and
bias for shortcut methods cunningly succeeded in, philosophasteringly
and sophisticatedly, parading wrong as right, evil as good, false as
truth, culprit as victims, irrelevant as relevant, means as ends.....
machine as man, and vice versa, by the wholesale adoption of what is
termed as induction methodology in socialization process,
particularly, philosophy and natural sciences by fashioning both as
analytical philosophy and analytical science in modern age. And the
most and tragic part of the story is that this age is largely unaware
of this long falsification process.
Deduction
When a fact becomes widely visible and when it can be knowable without
the application of much abstract inferences or mathematical logics,
then it becomes a widely accepted fact or truth. It denotes the
application of conclusion in general to the particular. For example,
we say all men are mortal; Socretes was a man: and therefore Socretes
too was mortal. Here it is seen that deduction is a natural method
having been followed by mankind for millions of years. Being sensitive
to the inherent diversity in nature – even on individual species
– the method is multi-dimensional in its scope and
manifestations. Human society was largely deduction based before
modern era as it was largely nature based village life, except a
minority of human life surviving on superstitious, magic, religiously
exploited or rural exploited, which were in line with induction
methodology being all shortcut methods.
Induction
This is the method of arriving at a general conclusion from a
particular fact. When a fact is not widely visible, but can we made
‘visible’ in ‘controlled environment’, say, by
constructing abstract synthetic models by the helps of mathematics and
inferences, then fact is made an ‘established’ truth.
Modern science and modern philosophy which are otherwise known as
analytical science and analytical philosophy fallow this methodology.
Almost all leading modern mechanizations, techniques, tricks and other
machinations, including the pre-modern magics, witchcrafts and
statecrafts fallow this methodology by the large-scale popularization
of its "benefits" by the leading vested interest establishments and
market or middlemen.
After the exposition of theory of the relativity in 1905 by Albert
Einstein, there were only just three people in the whole world in 1920
who fully understood it, according to an account by the leading
scientist and science popularizer of our times, Mr. Stephen Hawkings,
in his best seller, A Brief History of Time. And equally mystifying is
the theory of quantum mechanics by Max Plank. These twin particular
‘facts’ so galvanized and generalized the modern human
society on these new found ‘truths’ that the modern
society is literally build upon these twin theories brick by brick, no
matter there are even today not even more than one in tens of million
people who can understand these "particular facts", or theories.
Here, I don’t deny they are facts. They are, but only through
techniques and mathematics can they be made be visible, that too, only
in highly controlled environment--in a laboratory.
The heightened speed with which human civilization progressed with the
introduction of laws of motions by Sir Issacc Newton soon gained
unprecedented momentum and acceleration as everything in nature and
human society suddenly began to be ‘relative’ to one
another by that famous Einstein equation: E = MC2. Even time started
to be fast converted into money as it too got ‘related’ to
money, thanks to the timely corporate intellect and the analytical
philosophers interpreting things in the new ‘relative’
environment.
The tragic result was that, like darkness leveling all diverse
colours, and shapes, money soon equated all materials and spirituals
matters by tying a price tag on everything conceivable; these twin
‘particular’ facts literally leveled every conceivable
diversity in nature.
Imagination or hypothesis or what we call fictions became new facts
only to dump the age-old facts or truths or the ground realities-- the
originals--which soon began to look stranger than fictions. Thus what
is right for machine became wrong for man. Machine and market got
aligned, pitting man against. A new language of the machine, namely,
the binomial synthetic language of just plus and minus, positive and
negative, black and white or yes and no soon replaced all live,
diverse human languages, cultures and concepts. Right and wrong, good
and evil, truth and false soon lost their traditional meanings,
purposes and values, and got aligned with the new language of the
machine, playing different roles of the same game. Human life soon
turned business. Global market men soon began to favour and recruit
pastmasters and crafty persons of deception, forgery and eloquence
(for the society has to be ‘democratic’) to the positions
of leaders of politics and other vital creative fields, all of which
soon got completely commercialized by hooks or by crooks.
In the cognition field, attempts have been made in philosophy to draw
a line of distinction between the deduction method, and other methods
(such as the inductive) and to define deductive reasoning as excluding
experience and laying excessive stress on deduction in science. In
fact, deduction and induction are interconnected, and deductive
reasoning is determined by many centuries of man’s practical and
cognitive effort. Deduction method is one of the valid method of
scientific inference, used, as a rule, to systematize empirical data
after they have been accumulated and theoretically interpreted, in
order to infer all pertinent effects more strictly and consistently.
This also yields new knowledge – in the form of a great number
of the effects of deductive theory and as an aggregate of possible
interpretations of a deductively formulated theory. The general scheme
of the deductive systems (theories) includes: (1) basic premises, that
is, the aggregate of basic terms and propositions; (2) the devices of
logic (rules of deduction and definition) used; (3) an aggregate of
propositions obtained from (1) by applying (2). Examination of such
theories involves an analysis of the interrelation of their specific
components abstracted from the genesis and development of knowledge.
When applied to knowledge based on experience and experiment,
deduction method is more precisely termed as a hypothetico-deductive
method. Analysis of the deductive method of inferring scientific
knowledge began in antique philosophy by Plato, Aristotle, Euclid,
stoics and was dealt with at length subsequently by Descartes, Pascal,
Spinoza, Leibniz and others. However, the principle of the deductive
organization of knowledge were not formulated conclusively and
definitely until the tern of the 20th century (with extensive use of
mathematical logic). Up to the end of the century deductive method was
applied almost exclusively in mathematics and logic. In the 20th
century attempts were also made to apply deductive method to
(including the Axiomatic method) to non-mathematical knowledge –
physics, biology, linguistics, sociology, etc.
Questions pertaining to the theory of induction are already found in
the works of Aristotle, but they began to command special attention
with the development of empirical natural science in the 17th –
18th centuries. A big contribution to elaborating problems of
induction was made by F. Bacon, Galileo Galilei, Newton and Mill. As a
form of reasoning induction makes possible the transition from single
facts to general propositions.
In popular induction the presence of a feature in some of the elements
of a class warrants the conclusion that all elements of the class
possess that feature. Popular induction has an unlimited sphere of
application, but its conclusions form only probable propositions that
need subsequent proof. Scientific induction also represents a
conclusion concerning a whole class based on a number of the elements
of that class, but here the grounds for conclusion are provided by the
discovery of essential connections between the elements studied, which
show that the given feature must be possessed by the whole class.
Hence, methods of disclosing essential connections are of prime
importance in scientific induction. In cognition induction always
appears in unity with deduction.
Induction versus Deduction
Human civilization would have gone inter-stellar already, but for the
induction based shortcut methods like religions, superstitions, magic
and other rituals before modern history and the new market-held
analytical science in modern history applying frequent brakes on the
social cognition process.
All that now we consider as evils in history and pre-history like
superstitions and superstitions-supported magic and other rituals are
indeed the ‘gifts’ of induction methodology from time
immemorial. Induction has been the forceful generalization of a
particular fact, concept, opinion or trend, which the dominating
social forces who were always a microscopic minority, lavishly
indulged in for the sake of keeping themselves in power. They acquire
immense power by exploiting these particular facts, opinions or trends
as grow into widespread trends artificially or mechanically. Hence
induction, in the socialization process, has been a highly one-sided
development of a very few brains and, in the process, an equally
lazying and stagnating and dormenting process for the vast rest human
brains. The trend was not much harmful before modern history because
it was only a minor trend then.
But not with the onset of modern science or the science based on this
induction methodology or the science separated or isolated from
philosophy that started ‘generalizing’ and globalizing
with Industrial Revolution. Modern man is today 100 scientific.
But, that water is two part hydrogen and one part oxygen does not make
man live in the laboratory by drinking water made from this air.
However modern science won’t accept this ground reality. It is
making a lot of gambling and the result is that science is said to be
solving human problems in arithmetic proportion while it goes on
creating problems for him in geometric proportion. No wonder, the vast
back log of the science-created problems and crisis today – are
out to abruptly end the millions of years long human history on this
beautiful planet.
MAN VERSUS MAN-MADE SYSTEM
Lost diversity and the declining human dynamism:
‘Globalization’ of the particular—the induction
methodology—ringing the Holocaust Bell.
Most of us may have seen mustard, the smallest ‘atom’ of
antiquity, which has even a biblical reference. Mustards produced from
a single mustard tree in a single year may produce millions of mustard
trees if it can be ‘scientifically’ germinated and grown
in ‘green houses’ (artificially created environment), in
the process of which even the unfittest seed may survive and become
the most "fit" in modern scientific environment.
But, then just imagine the catastrophic damage the practice is doing
to the inherent diversity and the delicate natural eco-balance of
nature – with a whole nation of only mustards, a whole
environment of only mustard, and a whole people dependent only on
mustards. It literally hook the whole nation and the people to the
middlemen dealing in mustards – mustard processing, mustard
transportation, mustard exports, and then the imports of all item of
consumption for which the widespread transportation will be the
greatest liability which, in turn, is not only a giant consumer and
depletor of energy but also the number one giant polluter of the
environment. The single crop dependent third world nations encouraged
by the "loans" of the World Bank and other global lending agencies (by
tailoring subsidies and low interest loan provisions in the respective
third world nations annual budgets, as a pre-condition for this global
‘aids’) only get hoodwinked to this giant global
middlemanism. It will also preside over the import of modern
technologies, not only for ‘incubatoring’ and ‘green
housing’ the single crops where even the unfittest emerges as
the most fit (throwing to winds (B) Darwin’s theory of evolution
that only the fittest survives and proving that only the most cunning
manipulator survives) but also for the imports and sale of
technologies and equipment for the processing industry of the crops
and the related industry and business. All this may look a much
wheels-within-wheels ‘machination’ process which hoodwink
even the politicians of the respective third world on survival
instincts. Thus we have rubber and palm oil dependent Malasias’,
coconut dependent Sri Lankas’ oil hooked Persian Gulf, industry
hooked Japans’ and Germanys’, and the MNC’s infested
America, all of which are "super experts" in their respective fields.
Or, take the story of the millions of years long human evolutionary
process. A single man’s semen of a single day may contain
millions of sperms capable of producing millions of his children if
modern science takes up the process where even the unfittest sperm too
not only survives but also may become the "fittest"–
technically. And, not only that, thanks to the latest
‘achievement’ of modern science of induction, methodology,
namely cloning, millions and millions of dupes—same as the
original person—can be produced not only from his semen but also
from every part of his body, including the hair, dead or alive.
And, today, what else we get from modern super market, as fast food
and other ready-to-use products and formulas in world class packaging?
They are none other than the dupes or copies produced in millions, in
the factories of modern culture, and from a single dye, mould or
equation of a natural matter, and which is nothing other than the
clones of the original matter which we have been getting used to and
getting addicted since the industrial revolution. The latest of them,
for example Coke, which has been globalized to the extent that today
it claims to have reached more people than even the Bible, has simply
gone a step further: It has been synthetically produced in millions,
not as a copy of anything original but as the copy of mere artificial
taste and moods which the modern science-art-market nexus has
succeeded in installing in the minds of the masses, on a global level.
And, now, let us see how this nexus (modernism) succeeded in
globalizing the particular and thus tampering with the inherent
natural dynamism of diversity; how the world is galvanized by the
science-market nexus, by artificially manipulating and magnifying
human senses and instincts.
We say that beauty is in the eyes of the beholder – and not on
the skin of the ‘World Miss’; that taste is in the tongue
of the beholder – and not in apparent chocolates or coke; that
sex is in the live sex of the beholder – and not in the images
of one Madonna or one Stallenne; that music is there in the naturally
relaxed actions of every beholder and not in the mechanically
catapulated pop king Michale Jacksons’; that football is very
much there on the legs of every football fan – and not on the
expertised or the drugged legs of one Maradona or Riwaldo. The market
may succeed in selling millions and millions of albums and copies of
these artificial or technical fantasy senses by staging global beauty
pageants, Jackson shows and Madonna nights which are exclusively
sponsored by MNC’s like Coke, Pepsi, Addidas, Niki . . . . to
globalize their particular synthetic products in millions of copies,
and thus singularising the otherwise diverse human trends, taste and
instincts to dizzy heights of fantasy only to be left high and dry as
the spell of hang-over starts.
But, in the process, modernism is sedentrating or lazing millions of
live legs, all being glued to watching over a dozen pairs of legs on
global soccors of days and weeks on end, and discussing the "events"
for months grossly ignoring their duties on the home front resulting
in endless domestic and other social feuds; the globally spread
Madonna mania paling and insignifying the live sex at home the world
over as they fail to see their own ‘Madonnas’ at home
leading to unending feuds between husbands and wives and the resultant
domestic and other family problems; the fast food and synthetic soft
drink mania is failing the local natural live food, and thereby the
local agriculture and the related local industry in every country the
world over, apart from creating the fast spreading health problems
like stress, diabetics, high blood pressure, heart diseases. . . . all
of which are primarily the ‘gifts’ of the past globalising
fast food and synthetic soft drink culture.
Mortally bewildered by this growing catastrophic crises of modernism
or the nexus of modern science-art-market mechanism, the growing
relevance of the long neglected holistic science or the social
deduction methodology acquire more significance. Here it is
prescribing the concept of self-sustaining village – producing
everything for the natural needs of the villagers – thereby
bypassing the imperatives of modernism (There is not even a single
problem faced by man today which is not the ‘gift’ of
modernism) simply and in one go, and thereby restoring the once rich
natural diversity and the once dynamic man to be again the crown of
all creations and not just the "tool" of slave of his tools or systems
as he is today.
One may suddenly pooh-phoo it as being easily said than done
But, that cannibals today uses spoon and forks are not progress,
leaving cannibalism is. Exploitation of man by man is cannibalism and
that is what the whole concept around which modernism revolves. Unless
we stop this new age cannibalism of modernism we cannot be said to be
progressing to higher stages of civilisation.
It all started like:Science versus Science
Science parted ways with philosophy and became analytical science in
the 17 centuary ever since it began to be guided by the induction
methodology of Francis Bacon, bidding an 'effective' goodbye to the
ages-old Aristotelian methodology of deduction which otherwise was a
man-friendly and nature-frindly 'wholistic' science.Today it has been
proved beyond doubt that almost all the problems faced by the modern
world, which is singularly built upon this 'analytical' modern
science, are also the 'gift' of this modern fad called analytical
science
Let us see how the sudden replacement of deduction methodology by
inducion methodology in almost all human intellectual affairs --both
mental and physcial--became instrumental in massively reversing the
millions of years long social evolutionary process of man, at the
start of modern era, with much far reaching sudden reverses, most
visibly, in the fallowing vital human sectors:
1. The millons of years long 'perticulerization' of the 'general'
was suddenly reversed to be the 'genraliztion' of the 'perticular',
and the trent fast got globalized.
[For example, gun powdr was a Chinese invension which remained a
local insigificant [mechanical] idea for centuaries before suddenly
Britain, "the Nation of Shop-keepers", 'generalized' and globlized
this perticular idea for colonizing the globe using it's fire power
to end up herself as a global 'empire without sunset' during the
18th, 19th centuaries. Again, printing was a Chinese invension and it
remained an insignifiant 'mechanical' idea just to print staitics and
accounts before the British sudenly genralized and globalized it to
propagate the British ideas through priting. The first newspaper in
the world was a British idea which was printed in London in 1656,
only for this 'generalizaion' of the 'perticular' to end up as global
media empires of multinational corporations, and rendering the age an
era of artificial 'information' of the perticuler , the insignificant
or the mechanical ideas. The science, namely, the analytical science,
developed by the induction methodology soon mechanized and
industrialied Britain, only soon to be got globalized as the 'global
village' today]
2. The millions of years long nature-controlled natural evolution
suddenly became human contolled, then mechanically controlled, soon
to be finally market controlled.
3. The millons of years long nature-controlled natural communication
suddenly became man-controlled, then machine-controlled, soon to be
finally, market-controlled--selling information for a price.
4. The millons of years long nature-controlled cognition process
suddenly became man-controlled, then machine-controlled, soon to be
finally, market-controlled--selling knowledge[today, know-how] for a
price.
5. The millons of years long nature-controlled mental process which
we may call the once multidimensional and wholisic scientific procss,
suddenly became man-controlled, then machine-controlled--by rendring
the process linear, single-dimensional as analytical sience and
analyical philosophy-- soon to be finally, market-controlled--selling
these artificial ideas for a price by branding them as 'intellectual
property rights'!!
6. Man who became the crown, the noblest or the most free of all
creations in the millions of years long natural evolutionary proces
suddenly found himself ending up as the least free of all other
creations--the virtual slave or the 'tool of his own tools' in just
300 hundred years of what we may call the modern "progress"--man
endng up as just a commodity freely traded by the global market
force, or man controlled by the half-man called the middleman.
6. The millons of years long nature-controlled opend-ended
evolutionary proces suddenly became man-controlled, then machine-
controlled and soon to be, finally, market-controlle close-ended
mechanical process.
7. Walking the earth fearlessly for millons of years as the man of
nature in the nature-controlled world, man suddenly becomes a
perpetually fear-stricken coward in the man-controlled, then machine-
controlled and, finally, market-controlled modern society today.
8.The millons of years long nature-controlled diversifying proces
suddenly becomes a man-controlled, then machine-controlled, soon to
be finally, market-controlled uniforming and linear, mechanical
process.
9. Man becomes machine --and lives in the 'wired' "global village".
10. The The millons of years long nature-controlled diversifying and
expanding human world suddenly seems to beat a hasty retreat and the
shrinking process is on its peak now.
11. The millons of years long nature-controlled history of the
mankind suddenly looks a closed chapter.
Now, one may wonder as to what prevents man to see this mortal ground
reality which is staring man on the face. Well, I can say it is all
because of a sort of French courage out of an addiction--an addiction
to everything artificial, shortcut, temporary and mechanical for a
long time in modern age which is going on unabated, as a non-stop,
one-up game. And the French courage generated by the repeated bouts
of "success stories" keeps the mechanical man away from hazarding a
thought, let alone a second thought. Healhy debates and discussons,
with an accommodative spirit are nightmares to him--he can go only
specialized, perticular sbject-wise,linear or mechanical. As the
father figure, man of nature can afford to forget and forgive which
our great great grand fathers did; machine and mehanical man
cannot.Tolerance has touched such zero level in the highly mechanized
modern society that the mechanically ruling is closing all doors and
options for any open discussions and the equally mechanized
oppositions become the terrorists. Here man seldom counts anywhere.
Is there a way out?
There is...but only when man is restored to his original status--as
the crown of all creations, not just the tool or slave of his own
tools or systems. And that can be achieved only when man becomes
wholistic and not analystic.

I'm poor. ( i.e. I'm "Agile" )
Poverty has many freedoms,
But, To be fair,
It also has many limitations.
I think of it like body weight.
Just like I choose/control my body weight,
So too, I choose/control my wealth.

I think Your editor ( Word.EXE )
is doing that "’" thing when
you cut and paste.
Try this:
- Press ^A ( Control-A, Edit/Select All )
- ^C ( Copy )
- Select "Paste Special" ( under the "Edit" Menu )
- Select "Unformatted Text"
( From that dialog window )
This should get rid of that "’" stuff.
A even better way to do this, I say,
Is to Select "Auto Correct"
( under the "Tools" menu )
Then un-check _All_ the boxes.
<< ...this is the story of how man's penchant

Before we can sit down to play a game together,
We must first agree on what the rules
( a.k.a. The "givens" ) should be.
e.g. The only reason we can "play"
with each other here is because we've
both agreed to follow the rules of English.
Philosophy is a debate about
what these "Givens" should be.
i.e. It's a debate about "Religion."
It's inherently cynical.
<< [ Too many people say a ] machine
[ is a ] man, and vice versa, >>
I admit that it's very degrading
to call humans "machines."
No one wants to feel bad like that.
Life is full of such bad news...
News that no one wants to hear.
Given enough time,
Everything dies... _Even_ _God_.
I find this useful to know.
It helps me keep my perspective.
You're just too nice of a person,
So, Unlike me, You'd never bother anyone
with such disturbing thoughts.
I'm quite the asshole, I admit,
Because I find that assholes
have a certain kind of brilliance.
<< [ People are harmed ] by the wholesale
adoption of [ the ] induction methodology... >>
In my case it's just plain cynicism,
Intentional disenfranchisement.
You'd be surprised at how many people
are like me...
Only most people do it at the subconscious level.
Before you can associate with someone,
You must first _Suspend_ _Your_ _Disbelief_.
You say that too many people are
not suspending their disbelief.
You say it's because too many
people are taught philosophy.
I say it's because many people,
Myself included, _Chose_ disenfranchisement,
i.e. We _Chose_ to nurture our disbelief.
In your world,
Everyone is a victim of their training.
In my world,
Everyone is making a (subconscious ) choice.
Just like you can't change the Earth's orbit,
You can't change the global society.
You shouldn't even try.
I know that this makes you feel bad.
I know that you're not happy to hear this from me.
But, All the same, I think you should hear it.

muth...@yahoo.com as 'Google.com is very difficult to manage here.
And you are extremely interesting to converse with. Please keep a slow
pace so that I may come up. I will answer to all your points but
please give me time.
Now regarding your suggestion that I keep off from any attempt to try
changing the world and to the question: "Is there a way out?"
I will, of cource, suggest a temporary solution: Mikhail Gorbachev
as the
President of United States of Planet Earth!
And we can do it through an open letter to President George Bush
Dear Mr. President,
I think, I am being right in addressing you as my President.
The fast globalizing and mechanizing human society is being
galvanized and converged to the literal `global village' of the
tightly `wired planet'. Single currency, single army and single media
rule the roost in a borderless, leaderless and order-less global
state. America having technically emerged as the virtual center and
capital of the planet Earth, with all the system operating buttons at
your command, and all the humanity at your talking and viewing
distance, I think, I am being right in addressing you as my
President, although I am an Indian citizen -- technically.
For, there cannot be a more absurd social system as the present
practice of the highly mechanized modern society that is still
functioning as 190 odd `independent', `sovereign' nations when
independency and national sovereignty have all lost their meaning and
purpose. The sole reason, however, for this highly Pseudo State of
human affairs is the unwillingness on the part of the present world
governing mandarins to share responsibility along with the power they
enjoy.
Preemption or suicidal state frenzy
Now, I am sorry to bear a false witness to you, and to call your
bluff, particularly on your latest tantrums on Iraq and your threat
of PREEMPTION.
Well, I can't take it seriously any more than the threat by the
bigger fish to swallow the smaller fishes when all have been already
caught in the fisherman's net or any more than the attempt of smarter
Titanic deck passengers to snatch chairs from it's less smart
passengers.
Yes, mankind is already and badly being pre-empted by nature. And you
are threatening preemption by being quite unaware of the bigger
preemption we all are in. May be you are being angry, childishly, for
mankind has already ceased to grow mature since the onset of
mechanical-market revolution which led people to a sort of mechanical
system addictions. It's continued `success stories' have gone to the
leaders heads. The last global state leaders who spoke sense, as
politicians, were Woodrow Wilson (pre. of U.S. 1913 - 21) and
Mr. Theodore Roosevelt (pre. of U.S. 1901-09). "The country will not
be a good place for any of us to live in unless we make it a good
place for all of us to live in", Mr. Roosevelt said in a speech to
the nation.
Man walked the Moon and the highly inhabitable Antarctica terrains
single-handedly and with great fanfare. But today he shudders to
walk the American street, or any other street the world over, at
night. What use our Moon-walk and the Antartica walk so far as we
continue making the man on the ground hostile and that we can't get
down and start working and living?
And, make no mistake, threat from terrorism is just peanuts when
compared to more imminent and catastrophic threat from pollution and
other pestering global problems and crises. And terrorisms, of both
religious and state varieties, are just the minor fallout of a more
grave and fatal spiritual pollution in which the modern mankind has
been in since the industrial revolution, and which go on feeding on
one another, as in a nuclear chain-reaction.
By the way, in case this message happens to catch your esteemed
attention - more chances are that it may not, for obvious reasons -
you may ask me as to how certain I am on these conclusions. Well, I
am the author of a book Story of Man - Layman (1990) which was
released by then Indian Prime Minister, Chandra Shekhar, and which
rightly predicted almost all major global developments that have
taken place from 1990 till today. The book was commented upon by then
American Ambassador in India, Mr. Clark, even before it was formally
released by the Prime Minister.
As for a review of the rationale behind my firm conclusion, I invite
your kind attention to some of my own essays and messages on this
premise, which can be reached by clicking on to:

Now, is there a way out?
Though it is late it is, I think, not too late to find solutions.
As a stop-gap arrangement, let me suggest some sort of a temporary
solution for the biggest problem mankind confront today when it
starts thinking of solutions. And the crucial question is : who will
lead the Global State?
Without doubt, one has to suggest that he has to be a global leader
who speaks sense. And the last living global leader whom I heard
speaking sense is none other than MR. MIKHAIL GORBACHEV.
Gorbachev was a communist leader who dismantled communism -- more for
the sake of the mankind at large than for the sake of his own
countrymen. Gorbachev is the great universal leader who, as the
President of the mightiest nation on Earth, unilaterally compromised
and lowered his own position and status as well as that of his own
nation for the sake of mankind which was on the brink of a nuclear
holocaust threat as the two giant nuclear global powers, namely,
America and Soviet Union, locked horns as the cold war climaxed.
So the best way while thinking of any salvage operation at this
belated hour is simply handing over the charge of America and Russia
to this great man and to this great leader; the rest of the nations
will automatically fall in line. And let a WORLD COUNCIL of global
citizens headed by Gorbachave appoint GOVERNERS for individual
nations.
I had made this suggestion in my 1990 book, making Gorbachev as the
hero of the book, Story of Man - Layman (1990). The book was,
however, a bit critical of Dr. Henry Kissinger in 1990. But today,
when Dr. Kissinger too has voiced concern over the latest American
war adventures, it is proving more than certain that the purported
preemption is going to be sheer suicidal state frenzy for the whole
mankind.
Let me now conclude this letter with quoting some of the grave
concerns expressed by Albert Einstein, the very great scientist and
thinker on whose theory of relativity most of the modern society
literally functions, and on whose invention of bomb America and the
terrorists now threaten the world. He wrote, in a message to the
Italian society for the advancement of science (published in the
Unesco periodical, Impact in 1950):
Perfection of means and confusion of ends seem - in my
opinion - to characterize our age.
Man has not succeeded in developing political and economic forms of
organization, which would guarantee the peaceful coexistence of the
nations of the world. He has not succeeded in building the kind of
system that would eliminate the possibility of war and banish forever
the murderous instrument of mass destruction.
As a member of society, man of science is distressed by the fact that
the results of his scientific work have created a threat to mankind
since they have fallen into the hands of morally blind exponents of
political power. He is conscious of the fact that technological
methods made possible by his work have led to a concentration of
economic and also of political power in the hands of small
minorities, which have come to dominate completely the lives of the
masses of people who appear more and more amorphous. But even worse:
the concentration of economic and political power in few hands has
not only made the man of science dependent economically; it also
threatens his independence from within; the shrewd methods of
intellectual and psychic influences which it brings to bear will
prevent the development of really independent personalities.
Thus the man of science, as we can observe with our own eyes, suffers
a truly tragic fate. He cannot escape being muzzled by those who have
the political power in their hands. As a soldier he is forced to
sacrifice his own life and to destroy the lives of others even when
he is convinced of the absurdity of such sacrifices. He is fully
aware of the fact that universal destruction is unavoidable since the
historical development has led to the concentration of all
economical, political and military power in the hands of national
states. He also realizes that mankind can be saved only if a
supranational system, based on law, would be created to eliminate for
good the methods of brute force. However, the man of science has
slipped so much that he accepts the slavery inflicted upon him by
national state as his inevitable fate. He even degrades himself to
such an extend that he helps obediently in the perfection of the
means for the general destruction of mankind.
Now let alone your plan of PREEMPTION, the longer you wait in
handing over the charges of nations - including yours - to a
SUPRANATIONAL authority, to be temporarily headed by Mr. Mikhail
Gorbachev, the more massive would be the destruction of mankind that
even your inaction is going to bring about, without even a short
notice, thanks to the more catastrophic environmental pollution
imbalances on the delicate geo-balance and the more fatally growing
spiritual pollution imbalances on the global psychic balance.
With the highest regards
Yours most faithfully

I'm never offended if you ignore some of my babble.

If The U.N. ( i.e. China, Russia, EuroZone )
tells Bush to not invade Iraq,
And Bush ( Backed by congress ) does it anyway,
We could have a war that'd put the U.S. in it's place.

No, If China, Russia, EuroZone united to fight a rogue U.S.,
The U.S. would lose.
The U.S. scares the rest of the world.
The U.S. is a belligerent bully.
The U.N. may be forced to subdue it.
Iraq may be the fuse that sets every thing off.
By the way,
Don't call Iraq, Iran and North Korea "The axis of Evil"
Call them "Our Future Lackeys."
If the U.N. does subdue the U.S. in a war,
A global currency would become more common place.
Currently, SDRs ( Special Drawing Rights ** ) are only
used at the government level.
One day, It will be used to give beggars coins.
But all this would be Very costly,
Both in terms of lives and money.
Is the U.N. willing to pay the price?
How much does it fear a rogue U.S.?
