Some might. That is true.
Well frogs are not whales.
Sea turtles remind me.
>How do you know the dead long for life?
I kinda doubt all dew.
Depending on the whether.
Some spirits may have had enuf of Earth
and being involved with the levels therein.
Some may want another round
and incarnate out of the ground.
Your point has merit though, for me.
It scouts out the limit of my level of being
aware of beings as individual beings.
On another level there is only Being
and all the beings that be are aspects of
star-dusty dirt energized, even if behind
glass or bars at times.
Abstract ions charge me though.
There may not be any Being.
There may only be beings being.
To reify Life, as if there was such a thing,
might be to take a step one too far.
Or there may really be Life
and we be forms of it.
What matters to me as I take matters
into my own spirit, as if to own a level
that was on loan, for a spell.
Returning levels to their shelves
may give me a sense of what was lost
when my cousins were captured and kept
in large tanks, on display.
Still, some things kill me.
I'd rather not be involved
whenever possible.
My projections onto my cousins
might be entirely delusional.
There may be a way to determine
this from that and other stuff as wells.
Build a see-through wall,
off the coast, in my cousins' domain.
Put some inside imprisoned, and leave some free.
A test could be to remove the glass
and see how many remain close to shore
to watch the watchers watching.
Construct aquariums as glass bottom boats
with huge tubes beneath the seas.
Equip the lubbers with infra-red glasses
so they can look out instead of in.
Then I might more enjoy the show
if it must go on.
Some birds might not fly away
even if their cage doors were left open.
Most might prefer to be able to have
the opportunity to spread their wings.
How do I know an elephant or whale
prefers to roam free? A matter of scale.
Why do I think a horse
does not care for the bit in its mouth?
Nor to be kicked or whipped in a race?
It may have something to do with breaking
their spirit, to begin with. So to speak.
