(Yes, I know I'm breaking the no-crossposting rule. I'm allowed
to for adminstrative purposes, and so I will. Followups are set, and
any further crossposting won't go through.)

Right. I think we've actually got something going here. Now
it's a matter of getting the rest of the sites of the world to get it
going, which is going to take a bit more work.

The first step, of course, is making sure that everyone that
wants it has it, and has it directly. This is going to involve writing
your admins, if it doesn't already work. What you want:

1. humanities.philosophy.objectivism has to exist for you to
use it.
2. humanities.philosophy.objectivism has to have its moderation
address set to humanities-philo...@uunet.uu.net (the
address from the charter, tskirv...@math.uiuc.edu, will do in a
pinch, but it may change sometime and I'd rather just have one address
to deal with).

Now, then, once you've got that done, I can explain the
moderation stuff I've got.

The moderation bot is up and running, and seems to finally be
going as email comes in. It's not perfected yet, and it's basically a
hack; I still have a lot more things to implement, which I don't have
time to get to right now. Currently, it does a perfect job of nuking
crossposts, and the banlist option is ready as soon as I need it. I'll
get the rest done, just give me time.

On the topic of the banlist, well, it's empty. And it probably
will be for a while. I really don't want to ban anybody out of hand,
but I reserve the right to do it. Don't try to get me to do it unless
you think it really, really needs it.

Right. I'll stop the rambling, and I'll write something
official up about moderation policies and the like ASAP. In the mean
time, h.p.o is up and running; go to it, people.
