Since we only live one and since I live in America (shrug) then why not be a
prophet? You know, if I do what a prophet does, then how do you make me
feel guilty for that? How do you make a prophet feel guilty for doing what
a prophet does? If I show you what a prophet does, then do you say it is
immoral?? Most of you are patently ridiculous.

Prophets are usally poor, since they depend on God and not man.
They never dress rich.
And they are usually persecuted, because people don't like to hear
what God has to say.

And it shall come to pass.... with these words you profess an
understanding of the past and the future, an understanding of human
nature and human vulnerabilities. A prophet is one who understands
something of the continuum. The prophet connects with the core of our
being, he understands the nature of those questions we have not yet
asked. Is this you?

You dont have to have a religious disposition to be a prophet. Another
assumption linking metaphysics to 'god'.

I get the impression you are prophesying your own gloom.

**Agree.

**In my view, prophets are never religious.
When you get in touch with what God says, everything you
say is brand new, and that is the extreme opposite of repeated dogma.

how in the world can god even come up in a philosophy group...

“Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able?
Then he is not omnipotent.
Is he able, but not willing?
Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing?
Then whence cometh evil?
Is he neither able nor willing?
Then why call him God?”

OK. Now try the original Aryan concept of Goddess rather than
the alpha male tyrant concept of the Semite god. As Campbell, Gimbutas,
Eliade, et al outline, that cosmology had it that Chaos was first.

But as anyone who's studied chaos theory knows, eventually what we now
call a 'self replicating form' will emerge, and then, again, because of
chaos, the replication will not be perfect, but flawed resulting in what
we call 'evolution' to produce .... Gaia.

Nobody ever promulgated a gospel claiming She was omnipotent. Dont piss
Her off. Mother Nature can be a bitch. But neither is She out to get
you, much less damn you to hell forever for being as She made you.

There is no such thing as 'evil', only insanity. And like all natural
mothers, Gaia gave birth that we might go out to fulfill our own
destiny, not some "god's plan".

Why call Her Goddess? Because without Her, it would all be Chaos, and
nobody to call anything anything. Aryan myth had it that when Gaia
evolved to the point of sentience, She discriminated between Herself,
Chaos, and Maya (physical reality). The three of them have often been
showing as three women dancing. Reality is a dance; without Gaia, there
would be no dance floor. But dance is also self expression.
