I'm sorry to hear about all the serious problems some of our bunnies
have.

I was laid off from my job on Tuesday, so with part of my severance
pay I took Pepper in to the vet before her insurance resets on the
24th - to save that $50 copay. Srsly - without that VPI she'd be my
$3,000 bunny by now.

She keeps plugging along with the pasteurella. Every 6-8 weeks she
has a flareup and she gets a few nebulizer treatments and then she's
fine for a while. I wanted to get her checked out and all the meds
topped off. I thought she'd been feeling a little bony of late, and
she's been almost snuggly - which with my little firecracker-bun is
actually cause for worry.

She's down nearly half a pound (when she is normally just over 6
lbs). Part of it may be some small tooth spurs which we dealt with
today but also it's possible that just like when we have a cold and
nothing tastes right she just may be less tempted to eat when she's
snotty. She chows down on her pellets but apparently hasn't been
eating as much hay. So I'm to supplement her diet a bit - sprinkle
some alfalfa over her timothy hay and up her pellet allowance - until
she puts some more weight back on.

So we just keep hangin in as best we can.

Hi

All I can say is that I've been made redundant twice. The most disturbing
thing is that you do not know how long it will be until another job comes
along; BUT, looking back it was for the better in the long run.

Hang in there.
