Last night I released OMG! into the wild. I built him a little
hideyhole, so he has shelter untill he digs out his own. In case
you're wondering: the colouring on his face is the last bit of adult
fur coming through. I spent 1,5 hours watching him explore his new
surroundings, his new home. Then I went back to mine, which feels
rather empty without him and without Blue.

Byebye babybun, thanks for letting me take care of you for 38 days. I
loved every minute of it. I wish you a great life, may the birds
accompany your every adventure,

Hi
OMG has a lot of learning to do in a short time. Good Luck little bun.

It must have been very tempting to keep him but I think you did the right
thing releasing him back into the wild. Very strong willed!

Well done. Moments to treasure.

You were a good caretaker for the little bun, Els.

Els,

The YouTube link did not work for me.

I applaud what you did for the little one. Hard to do. You are strong.

HI

I loved the way OMG ignored Els and just got down to the job of orienting
himself with his new world. This would be the key to his survival.

That's exactly how it went, Richard! He was far too busy, but not
scared, exploring and looked totally at home. Chinning, smelling and
tasting. Like a proper little rabbit ;-)

How sad. But, this is what you knew you had to do.
Hopefully, he will visit you and introduce you to his
girlfriend if he finds one.

I'm so sorry, Ells, that you've had such a sad season in your life. Letting
that baby bun go after taking care of himis hard but you did what you could.
Now we all hope he has the wits and fortune to survive for years. May you
also be richly blessed, Ells, for taking such good care of God's creature.

Sincerely,

Bruce Atchison - author of When a Man Loves a Rabbit and Deliverance from
