My rabbit reallllllllllllllllly hates to have his picture taken... One time
he nipped me for taking pix of him, yesturday he sprayed me... I think it's
the flash... He's got good aim, got me from about 3 feet away (I had no
idea they could do that)... Then he went and ripped at his phone book (he
only goes for that thing when I clean his cage and I know he's ticked
off)....

Just thought I'd share...

He's been talking to my guy, I'm sure. Anytime Toof is irritated, he cocks
that rear end and lets her fly. I change clothes a lot.

ROFL! My bunnies just stare at me, with that REALLY annoyed look when I take
pictures. And spraying? Sounds like neutering time to me!

Shheesh! That sounds like some pretty severe punishment to me.

I love all the cause/effect bunny titles on apr lately. :)

If Hannah feels that I am taking too many pictures of the gp, she'll jump in
the way. Then she'll try to chin my camera and chew up the wrist strap.

:-)
No, not neutered YET but the day is coming!
His aim is remarkably good it seems...
I'm glad to hear that the spraying stopped for your bunny, gives me hope for mine!
Once he gets neutered he'll get a companion from the animal shelter...

Toofer went through a bad time when he was a "teenager." He would spin
like a top and dance around my feet. He would give me an ownership
spray once or twice a week. He's an outside rabbit, so I wasn't
concerned about the mess. The problem was that I couldn't even touch
him without him going into his intense courtship ritual.

I considered having him neutered, but I didn't. I didn't feel that
the incidence of testicular cancer or abscess was high enough to
justify it. (The incidence of uterine cancer in females DOES justify
spaying!) I wasn't concerned about birth control. So, Toofer
remained a buck.

Toofer grew out of his teenage years fairly quickly. There is no
spinning, circling, or ownership spraying. He does spray when he is
irritated. This is when he move him away from a plant he wants to dig
up or chop down.

I wonder if many of these behaviors are just phases they go through.
Toofer will be a mentally mature 2-year old on January 1. He's left
behind many of his irritating, and unfortunately many of his
endearing, bunny ways.
