Devestated. I lost Blue today. Her heart stopped during her spay.
There was nothing the vet could do. She had been losing weight. It
turned out her uterus was inflamed, her ovaries had cysts and there
was a growth in her uterus. Without an operation she wouldn't have
lived long. But that doesn't stop the hurt. I attended the op. It was
heartwrenching to see her heart just stop. What will I do now, without
my 'windowsill-bunny', the one who just love being petted for a least
an hour every day...

Oh no! I am so, so sorry.

She was a beautiful Rexy girl, and you saved her life, I seem to remember,
by rescuing her from a very nasty setting.

It must hurt like mad, being so sudden and unexpected.

Your grief shows how much you love her, and how special she was to you.
By feeling so sad, you are showing your love for her.

Also, remember how much you improved her life. She must have loved you very
much too.

Truly heartbroken for you Els.
I'm sure Blue was grateful and happy to be loved by someone as caring
as you.
I'll light a candle and say a special prayer.
God bless.

Awwwwww, Els. So sorry about Blue' heart stopping. The same thing
happened to one of my buns a couple of years ago. I knew I had to get
another bun. So, I waited about a year and than I got 2 big buns from
the shelter. They are sister and brother and the people in the shelter
wanted to keep them together. They love each other, and they're always
grooming each other. The first bun I got from a farmer and that bun died
after I had for a few months. Than, I got a bun from a pet store, and
that was the bun that died in the vet's office. I loved those 2 buns,
and getting these 2 buns from the shelter helped me feel better. Another
bun will need your loving, also. ~Donna~

Els,

I ache for you.

But bless you forever for making the last chapter of Blue's life a dream
come true. You gave her happiness she probably never even imagined was
possible.

You were her angel from Heaven. I know she was your angel, too.

I am so, so sorry.

Hugs across the big pond to you, splendid bunny rescuer.

Love,

Nona

Hi

I remember when you "found" Blue and wanted to give her the best in the
remaining part of her life, after some mistreatment by her previous owner.
Well you certainly did that for her. She repaid all of that. Her operation
(like Little H's last one) was potentially beneficial but it was not to be.
We feel for you. We're still reeling from the loss of Little H and know
exactly what you're going through.

God Bless Blue and You.

Love from Jackie and Richard.

Thanks Carla, Blue gave as much - or more- back to me. It's hard to
believe I'll never stroke her face again. We would even take turns in
'grooming'; I'd stroke her face and ears and she'd lick my entire
hand, then she'd put her head underneath my hand again, and so on and
so forth. Never been 'kissed' by a bunny so much, even though we only
knew eachother for only 6 months. I have the bestest of memories and
I'll heal eventually, but for now I'm just sad.
Thanks for responing, it means a lot!

Thanks Anthony, that is so sweet of you. I remember you called me a

a special rabbit in your life again,

I am very sorry to hear this terrible news. Please
take comfort in your other bunnies. You did well
for her and it appears she slipped away to the
bridge with no pain or awareness.

OH ELS!
I'm So sorry my friend. That is very sad and unexpected. The shock must have
been terrible. ((((Els))))

Perhaps with what she had wrong with her, it was better that she went this
way rather than getting very ill. :(
God Bless you dear.
Until you see your Blue bunny in heaven.
Love, Arlette

That photo of Els using Blue as a bunny-pillow was one of the most
beautiful and moving bunny-hoomin pictures I have ever seen.

Especially if you knew while viewing it, how Blue had come from an
awful environment, and had been rescued and given a loving home.
