As I mentioned a while back Isis promoted me to Sofa. I've been doing
a satisfactory job, I think. However, sometimes I sneeze. Every single
time this happens she gets up and leaves. Nothing I say or do can
convince her not to split.

And there we are.

It's a new law passed by congress..............
A human sneezes and all the cats in the house
go flying.

But it's Ok if the cat sneezes.

I've been tempted to go running the next time a cat sneezes.

This behavior will not change over her lifetime. But it does vary from
cat to cat. I have two now who can remain unmoved by my most explosive
sneezes, even when I am on sofa duty. The most they will do is look at
me with a supercilious, "must you?" expression. My previous pair, if
they were anywhere in the room when I sneezed, would depart at a speed
and trajectory which strongly suggested that they had been physically
blown away by the explosion.

I remember the first few times I sneezed, Ginger would get up and
immediately leave the room. Now she just gets up and looks at me with
an expression that says "Must you do that, you have disturbed my nap."
She continues to look at me with an expression that says "If you
continue to do that, I will have to leave the room." If I do continue
to sneeze, she does walk away.

I'd like to thank everyone for their sympathy and support. At the
moment Isis, the Drama Queen, has me hard at work being Sofa, again,
with her head on my left wrist making it hard to type.

Maybe if I sneeze . . . .
