Subject: Help!!!! Cat Pee catastrophy!!!!
I did something dumb!  I tried a new strange pine litter, and didnt give
the cats time to adjust cuz it was all we had, well this resulted in some
cat pee in the bathroom and i  dont even know where it is and i cant find
the source of the smell and i wiped down the place with pine sol and it
helped somnewhat but that cat pee is a very strong smell.

Is ther a fool-proof way to eliminate cat pee odor?????   Asd far as the
litter, i went right back to the old kind......Ill never make that mistake
again

Im sure you cat experts out there can help me out!!

 Hi Dan,

Try going to your local pet supply store and asking if the have a product
that removes cat urine smell. I know there are some products out there, I
just can't seem to recall the names. Also, usually once you use these
products the smell is removed and it leaves behind a faint citrus smell
that your cat can sense. This usually deters them from using that same spot
again, something I'm sure you will want to avoid. :-)

Good luck,
Becky

Hi!
No there is no way but I have a solution to the odor.

What I did was held my nose when I entered the urinated area. I also
would refuse to glance or look at the area where the urination
occured. If you don't acknowledge the odor then your problems are
already solved. Sometimes ignoring the problem does help, especially
when it comes to bad odors.

Try to invision the urine as a nude nun. You wouldn't stare at a naked
nun? Of course not, just try it, it always works for me...

GOOD LUCK FRIEND!

EXTRACTS it back out of the rug or what-ever...........have pets accidents
happen.........I just cleaned up a hair-ball.......ick.......better than
stepping on it!

I agree but other people come to our house and you wouldn't want them to
smell it........I always say pets are as clean as the owners......now this
one person did have an accident and wants to get rid of it........I would
to.......I would wipe the entire walls down with vinegar....house will
smell of vinegar a day and then maybe the smell will be gone..........also
some pet places let you borrow an infrared light and the area sprayed shows
up??

The reason it still smells strong could be that your cat has done it again
in the same place, because even though you cleaned everywhere down the stuff
you used probably contained amonia (most household cleaners do) which is
like the amonia in cat pee, so you're not eliminating the scent.  Try using
a strong solution of biological washing powder in warm water and leave the
area to dry naturally.  It has to be bio powder, not the non-bio sort as
this also has amonia in it.  If you can't find exactly where the pee was
done then you must have one heck of a big bathroom!  Are you sure it was pee
and not spraying? - cos you might need to clean the lower 12" of the walls
as well!
