I have an 8 year old house cat. He sometimes urinates in the house
(outside of his litter box), but is doing it more and more lately. He
usually goes in a corner and does it.

Any suggestions on how to get him to stop urinating in the house?

Hey bob!
Well, what I did was pour a small drop of gasoline in the spot where
the cat had previously urinated. The order kept him from going back
AND it also worked to kill the order from the previous unrination..

Another Idea was to buy a water gun and squirt the cat when he gets
near the area. Don't make noise either, because the cat will associate
it with you being their, thus he will continue to pee when he knows
you aren't home.

As a last resort you could put the cat outside and never let him back
into the house, even if their is a blizzard or a pack of wild rabid
dogs trying to eat him.

I have a friend who used to burn his cat with some acid until he
stopped peeing in the house.

Sometimes tough love is needed with the beast we call cat..

GOOD LUCK!

burning any cat with acid is very cruel..........water gun yes.........if
the cat is peeing in the house.............have his bladder checked for
FUS.......or move the food to where he peed........I hear they won't pee
where they eat. I have my food dish in kitchen and litterbox in spare
bedroom and always a (Little Clean Green Machine) by Bissell for
accidents.........I bought mine from FingerHut catalog for about $99.00 and
I love it.......it extracts the liquid out and cleaning unit is easy.
