I have a Windows computer and I am developing Perl scripts for Apache on
the Linux platform.

Is there a good set of tools for this type of development? Can I test
my scripts *before* I upload them to the server?

Good choice.
Configuring it may seem like annoyance for a lifetime for the windows user,
but there are newsgroups to help you with that as well.

If so....try Xitami for windows, no problems. I have used Apache and
ActivestatePerl on a win98-boks for years, but tried recently Xitami free
from www.xitami.com on a win98 laptop. Smaller, and far much neater to
configure and maintain.
