If it is not us to save the world, what children do we send?

To try to fix what we could not

We pass down all our sins

Tons of violence we could have overcame

Heaps of debt we have no shame



If not us...what children will it be?

To suffer from our burdens

Another generation that couldn't be

What wars will we send as we shove them up ahead?



If we can't find the courage to set our weapons down

To work as a people to find the way to our peace

How many bombs do we pack?

So many won't be coming back



If we fail to stand to help those who have fallen

If we let our mother nature slip from our hands

What compassion and honor will we toss to them as we march them off to die?

Better them and not us?



I am one that loves the world I am on

When I see the sparkle in people's eyes it brings my heart joy

I know that we as a people have compassion and goodness to our heart and soul

I know that we are a courageous and brave people

I feel such pride to be part of this human race

We have come so far to overcome our adversity's

We have felt some of our deepest pain



I believe that working together we can make our life, our world a better place

I believe that we as a people have the wisdom, courage and compassion to get it done

I believe we want to be free of our wars, the violence and misery

I believe we all want to live in a time when the aspirations of a people took flight

I believe we would do anything it took to save our children



Let us live

Let us thrive as a people

Let us try peace for awhile

Let us work together the heal the pain

Let us work together on the bridges to build our future

Let us work together to find our way into space



Don't we owe a happier, more productive, inspirational life for our children?

Shouldn't we teach them how we all could get along?

Shouldn't we show them the way to peace?



I'll sign up

I will do whatever I need to do

I will not go down without a fight

This is my life, my family, my people, my world, my future

I want peace for us all

I see the good inside of us

The beauty that is life



I know there are others who believe in the goodness of humanity

I know there are others that see the beauty of life that shines through all our commotion

That we shall overcome, that peace will prevail

We are the makers of that peace, the builders of our wars

We help decide our children's fate

Will it be a brighter future or one filled with sorrow and hate?



I choose to take responsibility for my actions

To pay the piper, to face the music, to do whatever it needs to take

I will not let humanity run aground

I will not let our children down

Not on my watch

I want to live in peace

That is what I am going to do
