"Karma is the eternal assertion of human freedom. Our thoughts, our
words and deeds are the threads of the net which we throw around
ourselves." Swami Vivekananda
"God generates beings, and sends them back over and over again, till
they return to Him." Koran
"When I see nothing annihilated and not a drop of water wasted, I
cannot suspect the annihilation of souls...I believe I shall, in some
shape or other, always exist. I shall not object to a new edition of
mine, hoping, however, that the errata of the last may be corrected."
Benjamin Franklin
"The important factor in relation to the incarnational process is that
we incarnate not individually, but in groups. While, of course,
individual incarnation does take place, it is only incidental to the
greater event of group rebirth. This group rebirth proceeds
cyclically, according to certain laws governing the manifestation of
energies or Rays, and connected also with the point in evolution of
the groups involved." Benjamin Creme
"I am certain that I have been here as I am now a thousand times
before, and I hope to return a thousand times...Man is a dialogue
between nature and God. On other planets this dialogue will doubtless
be of a higher and profounder character. What is lacking is Self-
Knowledge. After that the rest will follow." Goethe
"I do believe... that in the West the new interest in reincarnation
has centred almost exclusively in recall of past lives with the
harmful ensuing glamours which that has released. The important life
is the one in which we find ourselves now." Benjamin Creme
"It can be shown that an incorporeal and reasonable being has life in
itself independently of the body... then it is beyond a doubt bodies
are only of secondary importance and arise from time to time to meet
the varying conditions of reasonable creatures. Those who require
bodies are clothed with them, and contrariwise, when fallen souls have
lifted themselves up to better things their bodies are once more
annihilated. They are ever vanishing and ever reappearing." Origen
"Our fear of death is our fear that our identity will be obliterated.
It is this which terrifies. If we did but realise and experience that
that identity is an immortal Being which cannot die or be obliterated,
our fear of death would vanish." Benjamin Creme
"...when I read Jesus’ startling statement in Matt. 5:48: "You,
therefore, must be perfect, as your heavenly father is perfect," I was
deeply troubled by what seemed to be an unreasonable demand; something
impossible of attainment. Now I realize that He was referring
indirectly to rebirth, so that we have whatever number of lives we
need to achieve that high standard of perfection." Rev. Howard Ray
Carey
"If you had just one minute to breath and they granted you one final
wish, would you ask for something like another chance? Don't worry,
it's alright it will happen to you..." Traffic (Rock group from the
70's)
"Man is spiritual being -- a soul , in other words -- and that this
soul takes on different bodies from life to life on earth to order at
last to arrive at such perfect knowledge, through repeated experience,
as to enable one to assume a body fit to be the dwelling-place of a
Mahatma or perfected soul. Then, they say, that particular soul
becomes a spiritual helper to mankind. " H.P. Blavatsky
"In its esoteric sense Jesus' remark to Nicodemus: Thou must be born
again, cannot be interpreted as referring to reincarnation, but to
that inner transformation of man, equivalent to a new birth. That
alone can transmute us into new beings capable of entering into that
spiritual state called the kingdom of heaven." Jeanine Miller
"...it is also important to raise the consciousness as high as
possible at the time of death, using the last nerve reflex to drive
the consciousness through the astral and the lower mental levels onto
higher mental levels as far, as fast and as consciously as possible.
That is why it is so important that there should be some preparation
for death and in the future people will be taught how to die
consciously" Benjamin Creme
"Truth like the sun, submits to be obscured; but like the sun, only
for a time." Bovee
"Far from experiencing such a loss, the dead man finds that, freed
from the limitations of the physical vehicle, his conscious awareness
is heightened immeasurably. He sees both ways: the world of forms
which he has just left and the new world into which he has come, with
familiar people around him ready to welcome him..." Benjamin Creme
---------------
Reincarnation was an accepted part of the Christian teachings until
around the year 550 when a roman emperor had it removed from the
Christian churches teachings.
"...the so-called ban concerning the doctrine of reincarnation is the
result of an historical error and contains no ecclesiastical authority
whatsoever... any consideration of the topic was suppressed within the
Catholic church — not by profound theological study, but by the action
of [the Roman Emperor Justinian]."
From a 1 page article: http://www.mindlight.info/maitreya/emperor.htm
"The deletion of this truth from the Church's teachings has resulted
in the ignorance and fear so much in evidence today. Where interest in
reincarnation has survived, it has, for the most part, taken the form
of an almost exclusive interest in the supposed personal details of
previous lives." The Master -

One of the easiest ways to know me Maitreya says, is to be honest in
your mind, be sincere in your spirit, & practice detachment.
Any action performed with dishonesty of mind, an insincere spirit &
attachment is destructive.
For example, when you think one thing, say another, & do something
which is different again, you are lost.
Honesty of mind leads to honest speech & honest action. This harmony
leads to peace & happiness.

The image of a "net" puts too much of a negative spin on this. Karma is simply
the result of the choices we make. And we are always free to make choices.

Leave it to Ben Franklin to put publisher's imagery to the topic. :)

Sorry, I don't buy that at all. But maybe in its full context it would make
more sense.

On other planets? Why look to unknown and imaginary worlds? Why would this
planet be the lowest of all?
>"I do believe... that in the West the new interest in reincarnation

A lot of truth in that one.
>"Our fear of death is our fear that our identity will be obliterated.
>It is this which terrifies. If we did but realise and experience that
>that identity is an immortal Being which cannot die or be obliterated,
>our fear of death would vanish." Benjamin Creme
And in that one. It's really amazing that, since everyone is going to die,
almost no one prepares for it.

>Carey
I understand where he's coming from since I was once heavily wrapped up in the
myth of a judgmental god, as I assume a "reverend" would be.

It's not just man that's a spiritual being.

Yeah, yeah, the "born again christian" thing. Never made sense to me.

An idea supported by many.
