The ultimate utopia will come to those whose societies learn that the enemy
of enlightenment is the seemingly simple, innocuous, humble little
"secret".

Secrets foster darkness, not light. Secrets are the fruit of darkness, and
serve only to decay and degrade the world. Truths are the fruit of light,
and are abundant for all who will sacrifice one tiny little thing: Privacy.

We won't go anywhere as a race until we realize that there is no legitimate
need for privacy or secrets, neither one from another nor from the
governance to the citizenry. In a world where all can read one another's
minds fully, the plans of the madmen are known beforehand and can be
stopped. The supression of would-be tyrants is known before they even have
a chance to act on them, and can be averted. The destruction to be wrought
by a nuke-weilding psychopath is known well before it even becomes a seed,
and can be aborted prima fascia.

Open your minds one to another, and you will be free, masters of all. Close
off those dark corners of your heart, and you shall forever remain enslaved
to the world.

I'd be in that world in a heartbeat. Does humanity have the balls it takes
for that kind of honesty and truth?

It never has. But does that mean it never shall? :-?

Good luck.
