I watched the special about the making of "Independence Day" on FOX on Sunday
night and one of the individuals involved in the making of the movie said they
approached the US Army about assistance in making the movie and they
had agreed as long as any reference to Area 51 was removed from the script.
The producers refused and the army refused to help.

Other than that, the show was interesting because it started out as a live news
report about alien ships that arrived over Earth's major cities. Near the end, they
talked about the possibilty of real aliens coming to Earth. (Most of the people
they interviewed said that if aliens did come to Earth and started attacking us,
we wouldn't have a chance....)

I'm thinking that is all "Hollywood Hype". Just some reference to
a top secret Air Force Testing Center , that everyone on the Internet
or watches TV, KNOWS about now,............ would not effect anything!

(The Russians even sell satellite photos of Area 51 now.)

Not Hollywood Hype; just more FOXaganda to keep the masses confused...
