A lot of people have expressed interest in the Lave Tet Ceremony, when
it will be offered again, and where, and how to sign up. So here it
is! You can consecrate your life, invoke for your healing, make
yourself a conduit of power!
Obtain this ceremony from Mambo Racine and the Roots Without End
Society, and you will have your ceremony performed the most
experienced, best trained group of Vodouisants presently doing this
work in America. The Roots Without End Society performed our first
Lave Tet in the United States in New Orleans, in the year 2001, and
we've been doing them ever since, in New Orleans, in Las Vegas, in
upstate New York, in Massachusetts, all in addition to those we
perform in Haiti. Some members of our house also perform Lave Tet
ceremonies independantly, but when our house comes together, the
results are even more dynamically transformative.
The Lave Tet Ceremony will be held this summer, July 25-27, beginning
on Friday and ending on Sunday. The ceremony will be held in the
beautiful rolling foothills of the Berkshires, on sacred land
adjoining a wilderness preserve. More information is on the webpage
given above.
A lave tet ceremony is a cleansing, invigorating purification and
consecration of the head using traditional herbs and other substances.
It clarifies consciousness, increases the ability to dream lucid or
prophetic dreams, promotes healing, facilitates communication with the
lwa, removes evil magic and "curses", improves finances and domestic
life, and harmonizes the energy the recipient brings into daily
activities. It is not a trivial service, but a deeply sacred one.
You can sign up on the website, http://www.rootswithoutend.org/lavetet.php
, or you can email Mambo Racine at raci...@aol.com for more details.
Peace and love,

So, you're a theater company, not actually Vodoun.
And before you get all upset, so tell us, at any 'performance", how many
cigars are smoked, and how much rum is drunk?

that the Lave Tet ceremony has taken place I have put some photos
online, and as I was getting ready to post the location of the photos,
I noticed these silly responses.

"Performing a ceremony" does not mean "presenting a stage play", I am
surprised that your vocabulary is so limited since you have so many
negative things to say. I was truly surprised, actually, to see this
junk from two supposedly "spiritual" fellows.

That depends on how many lwa come! The more the better. This is
Vodou, V-o-d-o-u, not some New Age threefold-law hocus pocus!

I am not sure what you are looking for, but I just spent the last ten
days with my Massachusetts house full of Roots Without End Society
members, friends, and Lave Tet Ceremony recipients. They can say I
need more beds, maybe, but they can't say anyone "fought" or "got
arrested", that's ridivculous.

YES, DO THAT. Do that, Sighris. Look up "Mambo Racine Sans Bout" and
"The VODOU Page" and every other link you can find because there are
literally hundreds, and you will find that I have been a United
Nations Human Rights Observer, a Reuters journalist, a production
assistant and videographer for ABCNews, a part of the pro-democracy
underground in Haiti during the Cedras junta, a political asylum
caseworker for the Geneva, Switzerland-based International
Organization for Migration... I've been the Coordinator of the Haitian
Health Institute at Boston Medical Center. I could go on and on,and
it's all online. I've been in Haiti since 1987! The things I've
seen, the times I've risked my life... you don't know who I am, you
don't know who you are talking to, Sighris..
In the meantime, On Mambo Racine's Vodou Forum (http://
groups.yahoo.com/group/Mambo_Racines_Vodou_Forum ) there are six
photos from the Lave Tet Ceremony, held July 26. And as you can
clearly see, no one is "fighting", there are no "arrests" being made,
no one has grown horns and fangs in broad daylight...
The photos are in the "Photos" section, of course, in an Album titled
2008 Lave Tet. The direct URL is:

And of course, if you just dont get it, then that leaves you trying to
follow a Levantine religion.
The original Pontiff Maximus was not an autocrat, but a mediator, who
tried to ensure that the various pagan parades, which like Voudou were
rituals performed in the streets, did not run into each other.
Good observation! Thank you for taking the time to share that.

No it is not "ridivculous", as you very well know, two of my very good
friends were arrested in Haiti just after meeting with you and
attending ritual(s) run by you; and they were held in Haitian prisons
for over 30 days!

This is REALLY stupid... anybody with any brains knows that a few
pictures you snap while things are going well proves NOTHING! Arrests
WERE made. YOU got into many emotional, email and verbal fights with
people, I know because I was told about it by people I respect and I
was Bcc:ed on some of the emails sent to you!

Nice propaganda!
Sighris
p.s. Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner, I have been very busy.
p.p.s. to end on a pleasant note: thanks again for helping my friends
while they were in jail (in Haiti), that is NOT sarcasm, I know you
helped them and for that I am grateful to you.
I can't believe this guy is starting this up again - he's a troll who
pops up every time we plan some event or activity.
Two of my initiates were arrested and released without charges, in
Haiti, by Haitian authorities. The reason was simply because they had
sacred ancestral bones, which were never illegal before! Apparently a
Haitian woman had been arrested with bones at the airport in Ft.
Lauderdale, so it was kind of a tit for tat thing.
ALL Houngans and Mambos have sacred bones, skulls, femurs, things like
that. No one should have ever troubled that man and that woman,
everyone could see that they were new initiates.
And to be perfiectly clear, when they told me they had been given
these bones by a Haitian Houngan as part of their ancestral studies, I
sat them down with a Haitian lawyer to discuss the possible risks of
trying to take the bones home. They took the risk, it didn't work out
for them. It was scary for a while, then they came home and they are
fine now. So what's your point? They are adults! I didn't tell
them, "Carry bones to the USA" and I didn't give them those bones.

Arrests were made? At the July Lave Tet Ceremony, which was held on
my private land??? You are nuts. It was a peacefull, happy time,
marked by lots of friends and lots of food.
Look, a lot of women in spiritual leadership positions find themselves
persued and abused by trolls, so I forgive you, SIghris - TIHS TMIE.

I just spoke to Louvel (the man who was arrested). He told me you did
NOT "sit them down with a Haitian lawyer to discuss the possible
risks of trying to take the bones home" (as you just claimed in your
Oct. 11th post above).
How come every time I check your story Mambo Racine I find there is
another story which doesn't match yours?
But you know what, that is not even the main reason I am writing...
the main reason is below:

Mambo, I do not need or want your forgiveness.
Let me say again, that I know you helped my friends (your students)
and for that I thank you. I know very little about you, and I don't
really care; but I know that when many people where trying to help my
friends you treated them poorly and they told me you were aggressive
towards them and insulted them. You got into many emotional, email
and verbal fights with other people, I know because I was told about
it by people I respect and I was Bcc:ed on some of the emails they
sent to you! In my opinion (and yes, I know what they say about
opinions and holes) you are a very self-centered, out-ov-balance, ego
maniac who can't admit when she has made a mistake.
No big deal as long as you don't hurt people I care about, and now
that all my friends know to keep you at a safe distance I have nothing
to worry about and I do not wish to continue our discussion.
I wish you well Mambo Racine.
I wish you wisdom, and the power to help others.
You are a leader in certain circles, and I know you are intelligent.
I do respect you in the areas that I see you deserve respect.
I wish you peace, and bid you "good bye".

You lie. Or he is amnesiac, which I doubt. Houngan Louvel Delon is
MY INITIATORY SON. I am the one who made him a Houngan. He is
very important to me. He will recall Maitre Laguerre, the same lawyer
who addresses EVERY kanzo group on the topic of "Vodou in Haitian
Law". He discussed with Houngan Louvel the possible legal
consequences of owning sacred ancestral bones in Haiti, and I know it
because I am the one who translated. It wasn't a big formal
discussion
in an office, we talked at dinner. Basically it was Maitre Laguerre's
impression that though it's sort of a "gray area", since it it is
common
custom and practically every Houngan and Mambo in Haiti has bones,
skulls, whatever, that it is not something for which anyone need fear.
(For more information on "The Use of Skulls in Haitian Vodou" complete
with photos, see www.rootswithoutend.org/ceremonies/skulls.html )
Houngan Louvel's padrino in Santeria, the late Steve Marich, told him
he
should not carry those skulls. Houngan Luckner St. Louis, who
presented
him with the skulls, was not anticipating any trouble and neither was
I,
since I have personally seen, with my own two eyes, people carry
skulls through both Haitian and American Customs, without problem.
Blaming and demonizing me, Sighris, for what happened to your friends
is
part of your psychosis, it says little about me. In fact the truth is
that
in response to Houngan Louvel's arrest, we immediately established a
legal aid fund that paid thousands, literally, toward the lawyer in
Haiti
who handled their case. I sent hundreds of dollars of my own money to
the two in prison, by the hand of my significant other. And you will
note,
Sighris, that you are the one running up and down braying like a
donkey.
Houngan Louvel and Mambo Lisa are not complaining. They know they
have my love and support, and they know that if they want to come to
my
house right now here in the USA, I will feed them and give them the
guest
room for as long as they want to stay, and if they want to come to
Haiti
their place is there for them too and everyone will be very happy to
see them!
The onely one with the sour talk and the nasty backbiting is YOU,
SIGRHIS.
And you do this every time I have an event coming up, a kanzo, a
seminar, whatever. I think you have misogyny issues, and I think you
have wanna-be issues.

A lot happened, and it was over a year ago, so maybe he forgot.

reads these posts can decide for themselves.
> Blaming and demonizing me, Sighris, for what happened to your friends

I do NOT blame you for what happened to my friends.
Louvel is intelligent and takes full responsibilities for his
actions. He made a choice, and he "paid" and benefited from his
choice. Fine. What I "blame" you (Mambo Racine) for is either A)
"your inability to take responsibility for YOUR actions," or B) your
ego problems which I mentioned before/above: when many people where
trying to help my friends you treated them poorly and they told me you
were aggressive towards them and insulted them. You got into many
emotional, email and verbal fights (on the phone) with many of L & L's
friends and even Lisa's mom and the mother of Louvel's children (his
ex-wife), I know because I was told about
it and I was Bcc:ed on some of the emails they sent to you! The
evidence I have seen strongly indicates you are a very self-centered,
out-ov-balance, ego maniac.
> Houngan Louvel and Mambo Lisa are not complaining.
They have a relationship with you that they wish to maintain, they do
not want to fight with you, but I think if you continue to attack
people the way you have been doing you will strain your relationship
with them. It will be interesting to see how Louvel responds to your
last post (the one I am responding to now).

Sighris
> A lot happened, and it was over a year ago, so maybe he forgot.
Duh, you think? Sighris, you weren't there, you don't have the
slightest idea what you are talking about.
> I do NOT blame you for what happened to my friends.
BIG CHANGE!
Now, you with your dirty slandering mouth, you can explain WHY, when I
was frantically trying to raise thousands of dollars for their legal
fees and personal maintainance, YOU, Sighris, YOU went up and down the
net screaming that I am a fraud and a liar who will abuse
contributions, and how no one should send any money? The very first
greenback US dollars that reached those two in prison came from ME
PERSONALLY, and the lwayer who got them released was the one I
PROVIDED. But you kept on screaming no, no, no! No Mambo Racine is
doing nothing for those two, no don't send any money to Mambo Racine,
Mambo Racine is a big liar, that's what you said and that's what you
did, you freak.
> What I "blame" you (Mambo Racine) for is either A)
> "your inability to take responsibility for YOUR actions,"
I DIDN'T SELL THEM ANY SKULLS! NO ONE SOLD THEM SKULLS. They were
GIVEN sacred skulls by a Haitian Houngan, because he liked them and
was touched that Houngan Louvel is half Haitian on his father's side.
> B) your

I think anyone reading this thread can tell which one of us has "ego
problems".

Sample conversation:
Family Member: We have read online that you are stealing the legal
aid money!
Mambo Racine: Heavens, no! That's not true and I don't appreciate
hearing stuff like that.
Wow, big emotional fight. In fact for a while there I was the only
one keeping their head on straight. Mambo Lisa's family was upset and
with good reason, they hadn't even been informed that their daughter
was going to Haiti! The first time they knew she was in Haiti, she
was already detained. Who can blame them for being upset?
What I did NOT like was their attempt to split the case, bring Mambo
Lisa home, and leave Houngan Louvel to sit in prison. I think they
have race issues, personally. But for whatever reason, that was their
plan, and I vehemently opposed that, and I am glad I did. They both
were released.
> you are a very self-centered,
> out-ov-balance, ego maniac.
If you feel that way, why do you compulsively communicate with me? If
I thought a person was like that I wouldn't bother with them.
> > Houngan Louvel and Mambo Lisa are not complaining.
>
> They have a relationship with you that they wish to maintain
NO SHIT.
Sighris, I am their INITIATORY PARENT. I am their mother in Vodou. I
am the Mambo that made Mambo Lisa a Mambo, I am the Mambo who made
Houngan Louvel a Houngan. I am the one who met them at the airport,
fed them, housed them, translated for them 24/7, conducted two weeks
of very demanding ceremonies for them, taught them to dance, provided
their ceremonial items, brought the tailor to them who made their
ceremonial clothes, paid for their small-plane flight from Port-au-
Prince to Jacmel, arranged the La Sirene beach ceremony, taught them
to string their sacred necklaces and their assons... it goes on and
on, Sighris, and all your snarking can't change that. I think you're
jealous.
> It will be interesting to see how Louvel responds to your

'
HOUNGAN Louvel (you are to use his clerical title, do you call the
pope "Benny"?), HOUNGAN LOUVEL has made it clear that he is not
interested in dicing with people on discussion forums. He's a
professional business person, he runs a book store, but other than
that he likes to keep his private life private. Who can blame him,
with trolls like you online, just waiting to rip and tear at people,
slander them and denigrate them and lie on them?
May the lwa notice you. And by the way, you keep saying goodbye but
you never shut up - how can we miss you if you won't go away?
Sincerely,
Mambo Racine
Let me say once and for all that I take responsibility for my actions
which resulted in imprisonment, and I do not place blame or hold
resentment towards anyone. As I see it, countless people helped us
during that experience, the support we received was enormous, and
Louvel and I are forever grateful. Many thanks to you all. I am
saddened to see two main and vital supporters, Mambo Racine who was
integral in our release from prison, and Sighris, my ever supportive
initiatory brother and friend, still disagreeing a year later.
These are the events, as I recall them. Regarding the ancestral
skulls, Mambo Racine told me and Louvel it was ok to travel with them
and it shouldn't be a problem. And we took the responsibility/risk.
Neither Louvel or I discussed the skulls with our Papa Steve, and he
told both of us that he did not know about them until after our
arrest. As far as either I and Louvel remembers, we did not talk to
Met Lamour about the legality of skulls before our arrest. Although he
came to speak to the kanzo group, it was after our arrest that we
talked to him specifically about the skulls.
During the first week on our detainment, my family made contact with a
young American woman working at a medical hospice in Port-Au -Prince.
This young woman visited Louvel and I daily, brought food, water and
money, and carried communications between us and our families. Money
was also thankfully sent by Mambo Racine and my family to be delivered
by LouLou, $200 for each of us. I recall having to argue with LouLou
to get the $200, he handed me $100 initially. He only delivered $100
to Louvel as well. I believe this is news to you, Mambo.
For the first couple of weeks, neither I nor Louvel had communication
with our lawyer which Mambo arranged to represent us during our
initial arrest. He had not contacted us, we also had no contact info
for him and were unaware of that he was still working on our case.
As well, we a had no communication from Mambo Racine or from any of
our Haitian voudou family of initiates,.
It was not until Louvel was able to get a phone and speak directly
with Mambo Racine that we got the phone number for the lawyer and
realized he was still working on our case. This lawyer came to visit
me once in prison. Any other communication I personally had from him
about our case was through him working with the young American woman
and our families. ( I was not in contact with Mambo Racine directly
since Louvel and I were held in different facilities, and only he had
a cell phone) As one can easily see, the area for miscommunication
was wide.
The question of who was our lawyer and the separation of our cases
came about during those first two weeks. As Americans in a Haitian
prison, many lawyers were interested in our case and wished to
represent us. Remember that at that time, we had no contact with our
lawyer Met Lamour. Louvel and I mutually agreed to speak to some of
these other lawyers. One of these lawyers wished to try the cases
separately. This option was discussed among Louvel and me and our
families. No one in our families wished for the cases to be separated.
We as a family group were merely considering our options.
What followed is a extreme example of miscommunication. LouLou was
delivering the money sent by Mambo Racine and my family to Louvel.
While he was visiting Louvel, so was one of these other lawyers and
also the young American woman. Understand visitations at Louvel's
prison were generally limited to 15 min, and this many people made it
a bit chaotic. This lawyer then shared a ride with the young woman to
visit me.. I met with this lawyer, and did not like him. He seemed
to me like a shark. I asked the American woman to let my family know
I did not wish to go with this particular lawyer, and the search was
still on.... The young woman mistakenly identified this other lawyer
as Met Lamour, and sent the message along to our families . As if that
wasn't enough, I believe LouLou also communicated to Mambo Racine that
there was a lawyer visiting Louvel while he was there, and again this
lawyer was mistaken as Met Lamour visiting Louvel.
As well, communication had, I believe, at this point unfortunately
deteriorated
between Mambo Racine and our families. This miscommunication seems to
me to have exploded in many arguments online.
Again , it is my hope these arguments, which I sincerely believe are
based in miscommunication, may be put to rest, I am well, Louvel is
well,
and we are well with all that occurred.
May focus on
moving forward in well-being.

Mama has my respect and thanks, and she will continue to have it.
Sighris has my brotherhood and my love, that also continues.
It was never the intention of me or any of my family to let Louvel
"sit in prision". I personally am assured that my family do not have
race issues.
I am aware that the specific details of my experience in
Haiti have not been discussed with Mambo, and certainly not in such a
public forum. I hope my account of the events will clear things up
and help to stop the fighting.
I am
saddened to see two main and vital supporters, Mambo Racine who was
integral in our release from prison, and Sighris, my ever supportive
initiatory brother and friend, still disagreeing over a year later.
During the first week on our detainment, my family made contact with a
What followed is a extreme example of miscommunication. LouLou was
delivering the money sent by Mambo Racine and my family to Louvel.
Mambo Racine has my respect and thanks, this continues.
Sighris has my brotherhood and love, this also continues
It seems to me I have a better idea than you do because your head is
buried deep in the sand of denial.
> > I do NOT blame you for what happened to my friends.
>
> BIG CHANGE!
See what I mean! I NEVER blamed you for what happened to my
friends!
So let me repeat: I do NOT blame you for what happened to my friends.
What I "blame" you (Mambo Racine) for is your inability to take
responsibility for YOUR actions, and your ego problems which I
mentioned before: when many people where trying to help my friends you
treated them poorly and they told me you were aggressive towards them
and insulted them. You got into many emotional, email and verbal
fights (on the phone) with many of MY friends and several of them told
me THEY WERE NO LONGER WILLING TO TALK TO YOU!!! Do you no see how
you drive people away? Are you unaware of how you are disrespectful
to people? Are you really that ignorant? Or do you just not care?
The evidence I have seen strongly indicates you are a very self-
centered, out-ov-balance, ego maniac.
> Now, you with your dirty slandering mouth,
Please show me anything you consider slander.
There is nothing. Everything I have written is true.
I noticed you try to change the subject a lot, when-ever the facts
don't look good for you.
> you can explain WHY, when I was frantically trying to raise thousands of dollars for
> their legal fees and personal maintainance, YOU, Sighris, YOU went up and down
> the net screaming that I am a fraud and a liar who will abuse
> contributions, and how no one should send any money?
I ASKED PEOPLE TO SEND MONEY!
You got pissed because I asked them to send it to Lisa's mother.

I know! - Why are you changing the subject again?

Good, so we agree on something!

That is not the way they told it to me.
Answer these questions:
How come Louvel's ex-wife said she will no longer answer the phone
when you call?
Why did one of your neighbors (in Haiti) tell me (on the phone) that
you are a trouble maker?
How come you were told that some of your rants may constitute hate
speech and intimidation under Massachusetts state law?
> In fact for a while there I was the only one keeping their head on straight.
Who do you mean by "their"? Do you mean L & L, or do you mean Fern
and the parents of Lisa?
> Mambo Lisa's family was upset and with good reason, they hadn't even
> been informed that their daughter was going to Haiti!
OK, now we agree on TWO things! :)
> The first time they knew she was in Haiti, she was already detained.
> Who can blame them for being upset?
Not me.
> What I did NOT like was their attempt to split the case, bring
> Mambo Lisa home, and leave Houngan Louvel to sit in prison.
Their intention was to get each of them out ASAP, and they also
thought if they got Lisa out she could help get Louvel out. I have
already explained this to you before.
> I think they have race issues, personally.
OK, that is your opinion. But you never even met them.
> But for whatever reason, that was their plan, and I vehemently opposed
> that, and I am glad I did. They both were released.
Yes, they were both released, but Lisa was released first, and she
then helped get Louvel out, that was the plan I liked and it worked
great!

My main concern is to bring the truth out into the open.
To present the information and facts as I know them.
Then people can read what I have written, and read the info on the
'net about me (just do a Google or Yahoo search for "Sighris") and
decide for themselves what they want to believe.

blah, blah, blah (look at ME, I am Mambo Racine, see how much I do!)
> to string their sacred necklaces and their assons... it goes on and on...
*yawn* You sure do...
> HOUNGAN Louvel (you are to use his clerical title, do you call the pope "Benny"?)
Yes, when Benny and I go for a walk in the garden (after our
Illuminati meetings) I call him "Benny".
Often times I call Louvel by his shorter nick-name, and he often (I
think most ov thee time) just calls me "Cy-". We have a close
friendship of more than 15 years that goes outside of the groups in
which are both members.
> HOUNGAN LOUVEL has made it clear that he is not

Yes, I just told him (on the phone) to not bother answering our emails
and posts because it would be a waste of his time.
> May the lwa notice you. And by the way, you keep saying goodbye but
> you never shut up - how can we miss you if you won't go away?
Good question!
- but I wonder if you have noticed that EVERY ONE of my posts in
which your name appears is a REPLY to one of your posts?
FURTHERMORE, I wonder how many people have noticed that of the OVER
SIXTY (60!!!) posts which Mambo Racine has made in Google Groups for
September and October I have only replied to 4 of them? Only 4, and
that includes this post. and before this thread was started my last
post was in July? Anybody can check these facts for themselves by
looking at our profiles.
Namaste,
Sighris
wow, this thing is sure a waste of time, i can't even see my last
post. i'm going to stick to communicating with real people in real
life! : P
Unfortunate, this is not what I wanted, and I refuse to be involved
in what seems to me like a flame war.

Respect-
Mambo Lisa
But Mambo, you were in prison yourself at the time, you don't know
what your mother said.
Mambo Lisa, I am not sure why this has come up again after a year and
a half, except to satisfy Sighris' neuroses.
> I personally am assured that my family do not have
> race issues.
It didn't look that way to me. But whatever.
> These are the events, as I recall them. Regarding the ancestral
> skulls, Mambo Racine told me and Louvel it was ok to travel with them

Yes! I told you what I knew, I told you that I had seen other people
travel with them to the USA without a problem. I told you that as you
can see for yourself, most Houngans and Mambos own them.
And truthfully we NEVER expected you to have any sort of problem *in
Haiti*, if you will recall our entire focus was on what might happen
at US Customs. And I repeat, and repeat and repeat, that I have stood
right there and seen people come from Haiti with skulls, declare them
on their Customs form, and go through with NO trouble. I have never
seen anyone arrested in the USA, and certainly never in Haiti.
I believe, Mambo Lisa, that you and Houngan Louvel were targeted
because of the arrest of a Haitian Mambo at the Ft. Lauderdale Airport
not to long before your arrest. I know that the US contacted the
Haitain airport administration and there was some hard talking, and I
think that the Haitian airport security people were only too happy to
give the USA a little "tit for tat". I've told you this before.
I personally have never carried skulls or bones to the USA because I
simply don't need to, my sacred skulls are in my Ancestor House, my
Kay Mo, in Jacmel. But if I had decided to do so, I would not have
expected to have any problem, and I would have ended up just like you,
I guess.
> Neither Louvel or I discussed the skulls with our Papa Steve, and he
> told both of us that he did not know about them until after our
> arrest.
Okay, I believe you. But you see, HE told ME and quite a few other
people that he told the two of you not to take those skulls, forbade
you to take them, because they were ritually incompatible with
something or other, I can't remember his entire thesis. So just so
you know, that's what he told me. And he's dead. And I thought this
was a dead issue.
> As far as either I and Louvel remembers, we did not talk to
> Met Lamour about the legality of skulls before our arrest. Although he

I certainly remember it because I translated. But it wasn't like you
sat down in his office, it was when he came to speak to the kanzo
group, and after dinner you and he and I had a very brief little
conversation, it wasn't terribly consequential so if you don't
remember that doesn't bother me.
> Money
> was also thankfully sent by Mambo Racine and my family to be delivered

> to get the $200, he handed me $100 initially. He only delivered $100

Wait a minute.
Your sister sent $200, and I put $200 on top of it and paid Loulou's
transportation and expenses to go to Port-au-Prince and find Houngan
Louvel, and go to Petionville and find you.
I think that Loulou might have thought that the $200 from me was to go
to each of you, $100 each. He might have thought that because that's
what I told him to do. I am not totally sure any more if he had your
sister's money on that visit too, but I think he did. In any case, he
told me he gave Houngan Louvel $200 out of the $400 total, and he gave
you $200 out of the $400 total, so that's right, yes, he had my money
and your sister's money, so that's why he had $400 to split, $200 for
each of you. So what is news to me? He told me he wasn't sure if he
was supposed to give you just your sister's $100, and another $100
from your sister to Houngan Louvel, or $100 of mine, or $200 to you
from your sister plus $100 from me, or what, so he just put all the
money together and gave each person half. He wasn't arguing with you,
at least he came home and told me he was desolate because he couldn't
make himself understood to you and he hoped he did the right thing.
> For the first couple of weeks, neither I nor Louvel had communication

> As well, we a had no communication from Mambo Racine or from any of
> our Haitian voudou family of initiates,.
No, wait - you had communication from me through Loulou, and we spoke
to you on the phone every day after you were arrested, until you were
imprisoned. That taxi driver Philippe, whose cell phone you were
using, never ceased to bother us afterward, wanting us to do all these
favors for him and give him all this money because he let you use his
cell phone! But that's not your fault, and we were perfectly nice to
him and gave him some money, and finally he drifted away.
And then every time we turned around you were someplace different -
the airport lockup, the police station, the local court, the airport
lockup again, the big court, the prison, we couldn't find out where
you were half the time. When we lost contact was once you two were
locked up separately. And then Houngan Louvel got a contraband cell
phone and I talked with him, but I couldn't talk with you.
> It was not until Louvel was able to get a phone and speak directly
> with Mambo Racine that we got the phone number for the lawyer and
> realized he was still working on our case.
RIGHT, okay that's good.
]
> This lawyer came to visit
> me once in prison.
But he also spoke with you prior to every court appearance, right? I
really want to know, for this reason - in Haiti there are two classes
of lawyers, and Maitre Laguerre is in the second class, he can
represent a person in the local courts but not in the big court in
Port-au-Prince, and I want to make sure our house always has good
reprseentation that is qualified to go anywhere. So what did you
think of Maitre Lamour?
> Remember that at that time, we had no contact with our
> lawyer Met Lamour. Louvel and I mutually agreed to speak to some of

Right, I totally understand that. And that US Embassy woman kept
saying she could only visit you once a month!

AYIBOBO! Ayibobo for Mambo Lisa! Ayibobo for Houngan Louvel!
Ayibobo for the Roots Without End Society!
Respect-
Mambo Lisa
this is hilarious, i knew i should make a brand-new email address for
posting to this thread, or these groups in general, as i am ALREADY
getting SPAM.
what an unbelievable fucking WASTE OF ANYONE'S TIME!
sigh, don't indulge your internet addiction, at least not HERE. there
HAVE to be MUCH better uses for your valuable time, like, for
instance.....ME! ; P
That summer ceremony was good, too. More people, more better
ceremony, you know? There were quite a few Roots Without End Society
members at home in Easthampton, Massachusetts, before, during and
after the Lave Tet.
Now we are going to Haiti to perform a kanzo. Mambo Paula, my
daughter, is already there for Fet Gede. And I am feeling very happy.
Peace and love,
