Since modern man is unnatural by definition, it is impossible to persuade one into a primitive belief, such as in the real sky above our heads. For modern superstition, the sky is in the computer. This simple dogma is based on much more than 2000 years of European superstition. That Mayan civilisation and Egypt made no errors is a know fact. These and other cultures were in fact impeccable even with megacycles that encompass precession as elementary unit. Today we know that the horoscope has 22 zodiacal constellations and 16 ascendants for the epoch, but in the past there was popular belief in 12 signs. This belief implied sky devoid of precession and therefore rotation. Solid belief in lack of change was necessary in order to establish puppets and believers instread of c]scientific thought and real astrology. Nowadays it is easy to avoid charlatans. Everyone that makes mention of the 12 signs is safely avoided as superstitious, and therefore dangerous charlatan. Such a demon has never seen the real sky and can not know anything about your own original natal sky.
MAGICK
While truly magickal being of course needs no ritual, the modern man craves for talismans, gadgets and all sort of silly paraphernalia. Only a total loser can trust in the power of regaila and talismans, since the said objects have hardly any power. Some objects do have power, but are impracticable as well as improbable to find, after being charged by beings with magickal power. Such beings are simply not around, besides being obsolete for the initiate. All that the initiate needs he already has, and that is difficult to understand in a modern man. Often true initiation starts naturally in dream or dream time, as initiates tend to daydream, that is enter a separate domain, the astral domain or second attention, whatever the terminology. The real time reality rendering tools are not technique as we do not need any to produce magickal effects right here right now. All sort of silly rituals of the past were just tools addressed ast reinforcing intent.

You crass, stupid autistic quivering imbecile. You don't even know how to spell, 'magic', but have to use a letter 'k' to promolgate your mystical ramblings.
And 'mystical' they ceratinly are. It's fucking mystical how anyone could ever read such utter drivel.
Little green men may come in spacecraft for you soon. At least, I hope so.

You can play with your American dictionary all day..won't make any difference. The word is 'magic'. Now, should you by chance be a follower of the works of Aleister Crowley, then I suppose you could use your made-up spelling..providing you understand that; '"The Anglo-Saxon k in Magick, like most of Crowley's conceits, is a means of indicating the kind of magic which he performed. K is the eleventh letter of several alphabets, and eleven is the principal number of magick, because it is the number attributed to the Qliphoth - the underworld of demonic and chaotic forces that have to be conquered before magick can be performed. K has other magical implications: it corresponds to the power or shakti aspect of creative energy, for k is the ancient Egyptian khu, the magical power. Specifically, it stands for kteis (vagina), the complement to the wand (or phallus) which is used by the Magician in certain aspects of the Great Work."
Now fuck off Ralph, and use English, not mis-spelt mumbo-jumbo. Whilst you are at it..pronounce 'Qliphoth' for me... Fucking ignorant American.

<snip> Sorry, but most folks I know, and I've known a lot of people in the US neopagan community in the last, um, 30-odd years, have used Magick to distinguish it from prestidigitation/stage magic.
I think they're off, and busy selling themselves*, but it's a legitimate use of the spelling.

* Q: What's the difference between a Real pagan training class and a newage one? A: One to two decimal places to the right of the dollar sign.

I don't know anyone in that...or any other ethereal cult, Mark. I do know the English language however, and the American habit of spelling words in an odd way. To you, 'color' is acceptable. To me, you all appear frightened of the letter, 'u' and eschew it's use. The word is, 'colour'.
Language changes to accomodate new ideas...but there must be a line where legitimate use can not be altered on a vague fancy, or an inability to spell correctly. But my point was not simply one of either spelling, or of usage. I posted because the notion of 'astrology' and of 'magic' belongs to Stone Age tribes who still bay at the moon. Call it, 'magic', or call it 'magick'...it remains nonsense.

I'm glad you set things straight, but I've got to tell you that no human being has any spiritual or supernatural powers except to tap into the power of spiritual beings, both good and evil.
Once my uncle was teaching me to dowse. Cut a dowsing rod from a nearby willow tree next to a pond on my parents property. As I walked across the spot he indicated had a underground spring the thing yanked out of my tightly clintched hands and stuck into the ground while leaving bits of bark in my hands. I knew it wasn't my power, because I wasn't trying that hard and couldn't repeat it. Now I'm convinced it was Satan or a demon trying to make me believe in my own power.
I'd leave that magick crap alone, because the only thing you'll get from it is Satan teasing your soul straight into Hell.

I, personally, would probably agree about astrology ("The fault, dear Brutus, lies not in our stars, but in ourselves.")
Magick, on the other hand.... How do you feel about psi? Let me say that I have personally been present at two or three events that had *no* other explanation. Further, my definition of Magick is "a series of psychological techniques used for controlling psi power."

Oy, as they say, vey, another Christian looser who's got nothing better to do (certainly has no date, or friends to go out with) on a Friday night (from the post's timestamp) than to witless, sorry, witness to the pagans.
Btw, as far as I can tell, given events ranging from the Holocaust down to private matters (like my ...late... wife's death for no fucking reason), I can't tell the difference between your definition of "Satan" and your definition of "God", a spoiled, insecure bully.
