How to I force native resolutions in windows 95?

I have a microtek C586p monitor with native resolution of 1024x768 but an older computer with an on-board Cirrus Logic CL-GD5428 1MB VGA. Now at its best, the VGA is capable of 16-bit color at 640x480 but at that resolution, the desktop looks terrible. How can I force windows 95 to use a modified native resolution, using only 640x480 of the screen?... more »

[link] - Delete/Copy Path Too Long Files Isn’t it great in case you really can control your decisions and alternatives at the least if you are actually sure you want to? Quite a while back, when I was happy wit win OS Win95C and seen the Win95 MS "upgrade" site, and applied the patch to Win95C......later on I fund out this "patch" was for Version Win95A....it screwed my system.... So after 690 tons of Win95 upgrades, I still get the Win Ver command as Version A????... more »
