Looking for driver for RS-232 serial card PCI.
Because I need an RS-232 interface with a larger FIFO than the normal size of 16 bytes, I bought a Brainbox PCI-card, model UC-246 which has a FIFO of 128 bytes I hoped it should be recognized by OpenSUSE because the company released sourcecode to compile a module for the 2.4.24 and the 2.4.25 kernel.... more »

Procmail does not seem to react
When I retrieve my mail with fetchmail or when I use `mail houghi` it looks as if the .procmailrc file is not being used. Is there anything I must do to so it will be working again? houghi

11.2 root screen - no 'bombs'
Just installed 11.2 on lappy 2 as a try out before I put it on more serious machines. Had a bit of problem finding the internet connection - had to configure it manually BUT the red 'bomb' screen for root has gone, just the ordinary background, and cannot find the 'bombs' anywhere. Surely a regressive step?, as the bombs were a constant reminder you are... more »

Epson Stylus NX115 drivers?
Disappointed that these are not in Suse, and I can't find any. Mandriva has them, though I don't like their software updater as much as Suse. Anybody find any drivers, or will I have to use Mandriva until they come along? Everything else in Suse, works just fine, though neither system handles my laptop's second monitor output nearly as well as Winders.... more »

Everything just works in 11.2 and KDE 4
I've been reading about a lot of different difficultie and a lot of whining and crap about 11.2. In here and in several openSUSE forums. So I thought I'd post a different post for a change: I've installed 11.2 now in several environments. In VMWare, 32 and 64 bit. In Pentium III with 512 RAM. In AMD Athlon 32 bit with 2 GB RAM.... more »

Laptops, Firewalls & saned
Hi SWMBO's laptop is running OpenSuse 11.1 64 bit with a wireless connection. She uses her laptop for work during the day, hence the wireless network card is assigned to the external zone with nothing other than sshd enabled (so I can get to it when she needs something configured to connect to a... more »

Why Linux is part to blame for failed US Economy?
... You idiots spent eternity on your OS and there are still many shits left in your OS, you wasted your times and every body's time. Like this one above. See there Linux people? This is the same shit Linux writers fail to understand the true simplicity. No program association, no programmatic response when the user click on some bin's program to run, this is like buying an incomplete car (no tires), then you call the buyer a stupid when the real jerks are yourselves!... more »

More 11.2 difficulties
Tried it with Gnome this time With the stuff that HAS to be done in a console, I want the console icon on the desktop, not after doing some manipulation to start it and then more manipulation to get to where and what I need to do. And there is a major boot problem. The system has two drives, one sata with... more »
