Hello all,

Is there a PHP or other LAMP application that I can install that will allow
me to do a search (filename and content-based) using a browser (Firefox)
from another computer?

I have a computer (openSUSE 11.2) acting as a NAS on my network and it's
fully of family photos and documents, spreadsheets, etc. Is there a package
I can install that will allow me to do a file name and content-based search
from within Firefox? I have apache2 installed on that computer and it's
currently serving my webcalendar (k5n) and viewvc services. I use OOo
exclusively, so I would also like to be able to search for content within
the .odt, .ods, .odp, etc. files as well.

Oh, if it matters, the "NAS" is not accessible from the Internet - just
within my Intranet.

Many thanks!

Thanks for the htdig pointer. I will look into that.

When beagle first came out (or when I first heard of it circa suse 10.2) I
tried it. I believe it was capable of indexing OOo files. However, I quickly
got rid of it cause it was heavy on the hard drive usage.
