DHCP Server

This has worked in the past but now is in a state where on start up
complains "Can not determine hostname. LDAP based ... not available". It
then goes to screen "DHCP Server Configuration" and bypasses the normal
startup? Thanks, Paul

if so, some more info would be helpful..

what changed?

using what version of what operating system?

using network manager or ifup?

connected to a router, direct to xDLS 'modem', public wi-fi, what?

please show us the output of these commands:
/sbin/ifconfig -a
/sbin/route -n
cat /etc/resolv.conf | grep -v \#
ping -c5 8.8.8.8

Sorry for not providing useful information. This is 12.2 X64 with all
the updates, and using ifup. The project is an interface with a
Raspberry Pi (fun!) that will be used to instrument my off the grid
solar system. Flailing with the YaST DHCP Server I got it into this
state, and don't remember all the steps getting there:-(
