putty like client

Touchpad must die!!! 
  Crappy old Toshiba laptop (good machine actually), with Slack 12.2. Trying to kill the touchpad without using a crowbar or power tools. Found loads of "install this" "install that" "enable the other" "how to do anything but actually *kill the thing dead*" stuff, most of which involve reams of multiple config jiggery pokery, but nothing simple.... more »

Firefox blocks sound 
  Hi I'm using slackware-current. Whenever there're any flash videos on a website, I can't play any sounds on any other applications (mp3blaster, mplayer, etc). I always need to close firefox and restart eg. mplayer. How could I solve it? Thank you regards .Martin.

madwifi Slackware 13 
  Alright, when it comes to getting my atheros wifi card up I need to get the madwifi package and install it. Alien Bob's wiki explains things well enough, but sorry to say, I need a nice clean package made to get things going in my world. slackpkg allways show new packages? 
  Hello I did an upgrade with slackpkg from 12.2 to 13.0.0.0.0 Everything went fine. After some days, I noticed that a library wasn't up to date. I upgraded it. Then I ran a slackpkg upgrade-all I had at least 80 packages to upgrade (!!). I did. I rerun slackpkg. I had another 10 packages to upgrade. I did.... more »
