I have seen a few security updates to Slack 13.37 (and others), but slackpkg
update gives "no changes". Is someone asleep over there?

I have just downloaded and installed the updates myself; hopefully this
won't disturb the package management :-(

Don't blame slackpkg, it's probably using a slow mirror.

No, it won't. Slackpkg uses pkgtools to instal the packages, so there
is in that regard little to worry about. Possibly, as others
mentioned, a slow mirror.
