I see some are still here, and some names are kinda familiar and may
have morphed over the past few years. It is nice to see that the
group is still in there, giving help when needed, and the swift kick
in the can when that is required. Thanks for hanging in there.

"Ubuntu" -- an African word, meaning "Slackware is too hard for me".
I think a true BOZO believer would attempt to find a NNTP host other
than googlegroups. ;-)

I never made it to BOZO status because somehow I never insulted the guy
[0]. Now years later I look back and think if only I had told him to read
the fucking manual. Actually I don't think that but I do feel somehow
left out because of that fact.

It wasn't that he was insulted, it was more that he was the then
equivalent of Tom Newton, and some made that clear to him.
All that aside, as one of the European members of the second list, I'll
propose you, if we can get Jurgen to second that, as he was
a 'European' and is now a USA resident you'd probably qualify.

Now that I think about this I should check those posts.

No not listed, I thought there was two lists anyway. Somewhere later
+Chiron+ claims that at first he was listed last and then later first.
That must be the second list then. Looking further[0]

This is the original list Now to read the posts that made those BOZO's
get the title. At this point I give up talk about finding a needle in a
haystack. Looking for some post where someone (name unknown) was "harshly
treated" by a member of the first list (names known) is impossible.
Google may know all but it is a game of 20 billion questions.

Why would I want to be on the list? It's not like I need to be really now
that I have read it all again. In fact I could appoint myself as a BOZO.
Not only then would I be a BOZO but I would have faked my credentials to
become one. Yeah I like that better, as long as /dev/rob0 doesn't sue me
for trademark infringement.
Richard James :)
[0] Obviously I have nothing better to do. Maybe we should dedicate a
page on Wikipedia to this subject so future historians don't need to do
all this legwork.

Here's the two lists that I kept at the time:

I think it was a matter of those on the list feeling that 'he who could
not be named' had singled them out for some form of special
recognition, much the same as those who end up being "plonked" by Tom
Newton.

Here I think that point was one was either put on the list by 'he who
could not be named', or was later elevated to it by those already on
it, if I remember correctly, purely to annoy 'he who could not be
named', so self appointment would seem to be somewhat self defeating.
'Twas NN (who should not be named) along with GP that solidified the first
tier of BOZO. Those were the days! Pre-RM, Pre-ANC, trolls who made tom
look like the normal September surge. The early days of the modquote. Faux
and the gang, Chiron (then Cibao), Two Ravens, who was the guy that went in
the Air Force? Before the slrn package inclusion (I am still thankful to
Chiron for making the package for me, and I hope my email to PV helped with
getting it included). Was it Faux that hijacked the company's servers
because they weren't paying him?
Enough memory lane for now. Good to be back, though. Tom.....you should
really think about eating shit.
I didn't even know what a BOZO was when I qualified as one. Those
certainly were the days. Sometimes I still google up old modquotes just
for shits and giggles. Sometimes I think I've lost my flamethrower
compared to those days.

Can I just say thank you for this http://tinyurl.com/66r4o which I badly
needed at the time, I'm extremely grateful.
You are very welcome,
wasn't printing a bitch back in those days? So many people were having
printing issues it just made sense to wrtie something up.

Actually, the word is "bozo" and the only thing interesting about it
is the fact that you managed to spell it correctly, your incorrect
uppercase notwithstanding.

There are no tiers. There are bozos, but only an idiot would
celebrate bozos.

his legs. Why don't you follow him? You won't be missed.

You have never qualified as anything, much less as a bozo. Being a
bozo does not take qualification. It simply takes stupidity. And
you have plenty of that. Yes, you are, among other things, a bozo.
cordially, as always,

Open your eyes! It's brown out there! Everything is brown! Why is
everything brown? Don't know, but it's certainly a nice shade.
Everything is definitely a lot nicer around here now, because
everything around here now is a lovely shade of shitbrown.
Is that strange sound an inside-out fart as you gasp for air?

Cuz you're full of crap up to your eyebrows.

So, you're feeling all scatological again? Too bad.

Playing with the ODE will make you go blind.
ah fuck-off you mindless little automaton. You're so predictable.
I've got a C64 that's smarter than you. The Bozos can and do write
it any GD way they please and none, none, of your whiney little
hissy-fits is gonna change that.

You know nothing, nothing at all.
The AOLS Bozos celebrate!
The AOLS Bozos celebrate every thing your rancid greasy twisted
hateful little self despises:
The AOLS Bozos celebrate freedom and excellence, diversity and community.
The AOLS Bozos celebrate the empowerment of the user to do whatever the
f they want with their machines in any of the infinite number of ways
that can be done.
And what pisses you off the most, the AOLS Bozos celbrate fun. Fun,
jokes, giggles and pranks. A nice hot pizza and a nice cold beer.
Frank Zappa and Blue Man Group. These are things you don't understand,
can't understand, and never will, it is simply beyond your greasy dark
basement excuse for a life.
The only thing you know about jokes is how to be the butt.

dream on little fairy queen, dream on. You piss in the pool
and think yourself so powerful when everyone else scrambles
out. That's all you can do, piss in the pool.
The only powerful thing you have is that rancid greasy odor
so putrid and festering that it can drive off anyone with the
misfortune to be in range.
