FYI: kernel config for VMWare

I have noticed much better performance of virtual machines hosted by
VMWare on Slackware with Linux kernel 2.6.30.10. I am not 100% positive,
but the fix appears to be related to enabling the HPET timer in the
kernel. The default Slackware kernel does not use the HPET. After
enabling the setting, certain operations now work much better, especially
"suspend" and "resume" operations. Previously, I had noticed the same
problem that a lot of others have reported: VMs hanging for a long time
at "95% done" upon resume. If you are experiencing similar problems, then
consider tweaking your kernel.
