Also, where is krita located in slack? I see no kde*krita* or
calligra or anything. My 13.37 is krita 2.3.

/usr/bin/krita, from MANIFEST.bz2

Sorry I not have KDE installed to ask its version number.

From the command line (console) in slack-14, krita starts, and the help
shows Version 2.6.0.

And while I'm at it...

again from the command line:

jkh@cubic:~$ krita -v
Legacy integer arithmetics implementation
Qt: 4.8.4
KDE Development Platform: 4.10.00
Krita: 2.6.0

HTH.

Wow. Sounds good. Izat 32 or 64 bit? Someone on LQ said 14 has
krita 2.4.3, which is still two revs down. I'd be happy with 2.5.

The other question I had is, what package is it in. Seems it's a
bastard step-child looking for a home. It wuz in kdeoffice, but is
now, allegedly, in caligra. 13.37 has neither, yet krita 2.3 exists
in 32-bit leet. Slack 14 32-bit shows having the calligra 2.4. pkg.

?????
Looks like an upgraded KDE.

My 14.0 systems has:

~$ krita --version
Qt: 4.8.2
KDE Development Platform: 4.8.5 (4.8.5)
Krita: 2.4.3

~$ grep usr/bin/krita /var/log/packages/*
/var/log/packages/calligra-2.4.3-i486-4:usr/bin/krita

Regards,

Kees.

I'm running slackware 64 / 14.0. Hmmm... ermmm....

Ah! calligra-2.6.0-x86_64-1alien is in /var/log/packages, so that's the
story. Don't remember doing that one, but I was going bat-shit crazy back
in the winter with color stuff, so that's probably the story.

Well, iffen that don' take the rag offen the bush!! ktown! ...and in
32-bit, too.

How deliciously evil of Mr a-bob. And here I thought he didn't give a
hang about the arts. Looks like I'll be installing 14, this week. Oh
well, supposed to snow tomorrow.

Thanks, gang. This is why aols rocks. Can't get this kinda info off
LQ. I know. I tried. Now I get to tell them. tee hee..... ;)
