Hi,
I recently upgraded to slack 13. I have an old road runner email
account that I can still use. I tried to add an account but the thunder-
bird new account wizard doesn't prompt me for a password, so when I try
to access mail on this new account I get prompted for a password, which
is then not accepted.
I don't know if this has anything to do with slack13. I ran into
the same problem before under slack12.2 but I was able to add accounts on
seamonkey mail and that doesn't work now either, for the above reason.
I am in the process of querying my isp but they are not usually
very knowledgable about things linux.
Any ideas?
Thanks, jwc

Well, what was the solution, John? Was the problem something peculiar to
RoadRunner, or your ISP, or will it affect everyone who uses Thunderbird
on Slackware 13.0?

I probably should have waited until the isp responded before I posted
here. The procedure involves registering the new email address and
password with the isp prior to creating the new email account on
thunderbird. There is then a prompt for the password the first time that
the account is
used and that takes care of it.
