hi,

i am install Slackware 11.0 ( using the CDROM ) on a old server which
has an IBM Serveraid SCSI controller. but it seems that slack can not
recognize the controller, the after the booting of the installation
disc, running of the cfdisk failed.

any idea? i've tried the adaptec.s, scsi.s, scsi2.s, scsi3.s

What kind of machine is it (model)? What model of Serveraid adapter?

I've installed Slackware on several IBM servers without trouble. The
ips module is the ServeRAID driver, if it does not load automatically,
try running "modprobe ips" before entering fdisk.
