I can confirm this on my machine, but this is not quite accurate, as I have
QT blacklisted since I am using AlienBOB's version for a later version of
KDE.

yup, confirmed, still /slackpkg search qt-4/ would find correct stuff
either a feature or a limitation (number of chars or dash-effect or...)
in some cutter/parser in the sourced functions maybe?
Let's wait for the PiterPunk to tell the tale, he'll know :-)

I confirm this. I sent a patch (http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?
func=detail&aid=3603244&group_id=71104&atid=530176) that should fix
this issue as shown below (Slackware64 13.37, slackpkg 2.82 build 5) :

$ slackpkg search qt

Looking for qt in package list. Please wait... DONE

The list below shows all packages with name matching "qt".

[ upgrade ] - polkit-qt-1-0.99.0-x86_64-1alien --> polkit-qt-1-
r1145513-x86_64-2
[ upgrade ] - libdbusmenu-qt-0.8.1-x86_64-1alien --> libdbusmenu-
qt-0.6.4-x86_64-1
[ installed ] - qt-4.7.0_7abde40-x86_64-3
[ installed ] - qtscriptgenerator-0.1.0-x86_64-2

Hope this help.

Cheers.

Confirmed. Above linked patch works.
