websites without installing a shitty proprietary piece of shit (like
an Adobe plugin)?

I'm one of several dozen Americans who not only understands the international 24-hour time format, but who also prefers it to the archaic 12-hour "AM/PM" system.

Apologies to the group for showing up and tugging their sleeves.
I had a game of Nethack in progress when I was hit by a power cut. Now I can't start nethack. I've tried re-installing the game, completely removing the game and doing a fresh install, and no luck. I've been playing nethack on linux since Red Hat v.1, and this has happened before... more »

How difficult to port programs to ARM debian?

I'm enthusiastic about the rPi which has Debian wheezy
as its default OS. But both programs that I tried to install/port: dvtm, wily; failed.
I don't want to have to look into C and especially not C+,
but IIRC they failed because of missing libraries.

Remove need for User & Password ?

I want to experiment on the rPi without a keyboard.
It seems that if you could remove the need to keyin the
User & Password, and that `login` just proceeded and
gpm was running and lines of commands where visible
on the screen, you could paste-in the initial commands
off the screen.
The EOL to activate the CLI is also obtained from the screen.... more »
