Do you think that Peer-to-Peer, FTP
IRC technologies etc...are too much complicated !? There is a simpler technology to use, Autosend. This software allows file-sharing by only using your e-mail account. Autosend allows sharing files on your computer through regular email. It is an automatic file mailer... more »

I needed to be able to run quick basic to support a now 13 year old project. I'm running 64 bit windows-7 and Linux Mint dual boot. I rarely use windows anymore and wanted a solution to run QB from within Linux. I know about dosbox and dosemu but I ended up with VMplayer. At first I installed an old copy of WindowsME, but that is a bit overkill.... more »

FreeDOS in DOSemu on Debian sid to run WP5.1

I want to install Word Perfect 5.1 within the DOSemu package on Debian sid. I
see that DOSemu uses FreeDOS.
I have installed DOSemu and installed a USB floppy that is recognized by the system
and freedos suggest a C: and D: drive but I'm stuck on trying to load WP51 on
my set of 3.5" floppies. How to get the A: drive to be recognized or what letter... more »

Is it easy to install to a stik, for booting?

I've got an app which I used to run in dos-mode on my W98 notebook.
Now this Win7 net book gives <can't do DOS fullscreen> errors.
So could I install DOS on a stik, and boot from that [I already put
linux of a CF and boot/use that], and then hope that the hardware can
handle it.

How to install and boot with GRUB

I have a hard drive with four partitions:
1. FAT-16, 2GB, empty
2. FAT-16, 2GB, Windows 98
3. Linux, containing an old Ubuntu distribution
4. Linux swap
GRUB is the bootloader
I would like to install FreeDOS 1.1 in the first partition. How do I do
this without overwriting my GRUB boot loader, and then get GRUB to boot... more »

Hallo allemaal, I'm hobbying more then a bit with some old IBM PC-XT (compatibles). And I found an old REX EPROM card capable of handling up to sixteen 27512s, good for 1 MByte of data. Sorry, just a bit excited. I love freeDOS. What do you do with your freeDOS? Do you use a GUI, like GEM, or Seal? Also, anyone know anythiing about dosCORE?
