I'm trying to install BeOS onto a Dell lattitude D 600 laptop but I get 'no volumes' when the installer gets to the part where I need to choose the disk to install onto. The laptop is listed as working on the BeOS laptop page. The drive is formatted FAT32 as one primary partition. Any ideas?
I downloaded the latest image (raw) from haiku os website and unzipped it under BeOS to a folder. Now do I just copy the image file (500mb) to a USB key next? I read this:[link] But its not crystal clear as to what to do step by step. Any help appreciated.... more »

I was stumped on how to burn cds until i used the help files from the BeOS Haiku web forum. My Lite-On 48x cd burner works with 'CD Burn' app just fine to burn an audio cd. Be sure 'cdrecord' is installed first and check the status by typing 'cdrecord -scanbus' to be sure the burner is seen. ^_^... more »
I am giving BeOS a try and just got the BeOS Max 4 installed on an age old PII machine. Now I cannot get the network card working. Is there a driver for the 3COM card 3C980-TX 10/100?
