Networking BeOS & Vista

Anyone tried this yet? I just put a NIC in my BeOS box and I want to use a
crossover cable to hook it up to my moms Vista laptop.

I am not sure but guess BeOS supports SMB like Linux, so you could mount
(and server) shares from one to the other.

USB drives is how I do it, not only are they cheap today, but they let
me take the data to any of my friends machines.

I havent had any luck getting usb to work in BeOS.
When I enable it it also tends to kill the printer team for some reason.

But the problem with Vista is that I have had a number of people
already tell me that Vista networks fine with another Vista machine,
but they run into problems getting it to work with other OSs, even
Microsoft's other versions of Windows.

I would hope so :) M$ flagship OS better have basic networking with its own
version.

Yes. I couldnt make it work with my w98 boxes either wirelessly or eth0...
Nice to see M$ keeping its strategy to force upgrades whenever possible :P
