Sometimes people pray when they are under some serious stress. Praying
can be an act of desperation, or in the least, frustration. We're all a
little shook up by the anti-social content of our problem troll. Group
members relate to your frustration.

I was entertained by your religious reaction to Blasphemy in this
secular venue. Relax, I was trying to bring some comic relief to a
touchy situation.

I'm not judging you, but, hypothetically, if I were to judge the
situation I would say that you haven't violated any rule, law, or code

I pray when I am under personal stress....that's true. But I find no
stress in this situation, just pity. And as I said , praying for others
is the Christian thing to do. GOD loves the sinner, but hates the sin.

I am glad you find no wrong in my actions. I don't either. :-)

Now, may I ask GOD to bless you? :-)

If you decide to pray on my behalf, for blessings, that's OK with me.
Just don't post those prayers...

I heard a wise man say, "Prayer doesn't change God, it changes the
person who prays."

The Hindus believe praying for someone will bring good karma to the one
who prays.

I found it amusing, but I would never believe such nonsense.

To believe something for which there is no proof and perhaps even empirical
evidence to the contrary requires a disassociation with reality, and for
encouraging one to ignore reality you just can't beat religion.

Just love that one batch of Xtians can point their bony little finger
at another batch and declare: "I'm holier than thou"
Gotta love dem hippokrits

Then Rev Ted(immafag)Haggard was not a Xtian?

American evangelical biblethumping pastor and
leader of the National Association of Evangelicals

In November 2006, escort and masseur Mike Jones alleged that Ted
Haggard
had paid Jones to engage in sex with him for three years and had also
purchased and used crystal methamphetamine.
Jones saying: "It made me angry that here’s someone preaching against
gay marriage and going behind the scenes having gay sex

Haggard's immediate response was denial.
He told a Denver television station, "I did not have a homosexual
relationship with a man in Denver . . . I am steady with my wife. I'm
faithful to my wife." Haggard also said, "I have never done drugs--
ever. Not even in high school. I didn't smoke pot. I didn't do
anything like that. I'm not a drug man. We're not a drinking family.
I
don't smoke cigarettes. I don't socially drink. We don't socially
drink. We don't have wine in our house. We don't do that kind of
thing"
.....Yeah RIGHT....
Eventually, Haggard acknowledged almost all of the allegations
against
him, including using meth

Haggard openly admitted to the second, albeit nonsexual relationship
on CNN and other media. When asked if he had had additional gay
relationships that have been unreported, Haggard did not provide a
direct answer.

Only someone who is afraid of having their bullshit exposed, or simply can not

This is how I see it:

Try looking at it from their point of view: They feel they have
something so wonderful that they want to share it with others. Some
Christian organizations require members in-good-standing to spread the
word. And conversely, some Christian groups do not proselyze.

Many persons feel a need to be in authority, a need to feel important.
This need is fulfilled by teaching religion to unbelievers. The
progenitor of Christianity, Jesus of Nazareth, was known for his
unorthodox approach to preaching. He spoke as if He was the authority,
and not just a scholar of doctrine. To this day members have followed
this trend and have used it as a guide to the witness of spirit. They
experience fulfillment.

What you are feeling when you encounter proselyzers could be thought of
as an initiation of the Holy Spirit. But you are at odds with it, most
likely because you don't like the emotional content and you prefer
Peace. But the Christian way, right or wrong, addresses the issue as
Jesus purported, "I have come not to bring you Peace. I am here to give
you a sword."

And it is a double edged sword. Both you and the Christian proselyzer
experience the edge, side by side at the same time. And it goes
onward...

Here is what I do, if I can, when faced with feelings of resentment
towards door-to-door religion:

I recognize and identify the feeling of resentment within. Then I take a
rather slow and deep breath, inhaling the wisdom and knowledge I have
accumulated. I hold it my lungs for a few seconds, as if it was a drag
from a joint of premium marijuana. I then calmly exhale allowing the bad
to escape while retaining the goodness I trust. Subsequently, I pay
attention to my normal breathing as long as I feel the need. I am polite
if I communicate with the sellers of religion. I follow the
recommendations of secular etiquette.

That technique helps me get through the ordeal, works even with
Jehovah's Witnesses! :-)

When applying the method, if having trouble understanding the
manipulation of intangible concepts, I trust and employ my imagination
to fill in the gaps.
