Graphite is opaque black. Diamond is more transparent than the best
optical glass.
Diamonds sparkle. Graphite is dull.
Diamonds are a perfect 10 on the Mohr scale of hardness. Graphite, with
a score of 1-2 is near the softness of talc.
Diamonds are used industrially as bearings, and for tooling purposes.
Graphite is used industrially as a cheap substitute for molybdenum
lubricants.
In the consumer market, diamonds symbolize integrity and strength.
Graphite is used to make pencils - an unacceptable marking instrument
for valuable documents.
Diamonds are "cut" into beautiful gems by cleaving them. Graphite is
flaky and won't stand up under pressure.
Handle graphite, and you'll have a smeary black mess on your hands. Put
a diamond on her hand, and you could have an important asset.
Diamonds are highly treasured and widely sought by people who collect no
other stone. Although extremely common, graphite is rarely present in
even the largest mineral collections, because the samples available are
so poor.
Opaque, dull, soft, a cheap substitute, unacceptable, flaky, won't stand
up under pressure, a mess, poor. "Graphite" is an *excellent*
nom-de-web for, well, someone like Graphite.

The graphite of which you speak belongs to the "Cult of Mac". Why did
he choose this forum to do his preaching? Perhaps opaque, dull, flaky,
a mess explains it.
Now you've done it...
The poster formerly known as Steve/Dr.Cue/Hitman/etc will also soon be
formerly known as Graphite, and everyone who currently has him *plonk*ed
will need to update his/her twitfilter. The aggregate time spent by all of
those people reconfiguring their software, instead of being productive
citizens, could well throw the US economy into further turmoil.
I hope you're happy.
Well, yes, he did. But he kept the "500" part of his username, to make
it easy to recognize.
Isn't it amusing that someone who is annoyed that he has to use dot
matrix printers at his minimum-wage job now claims to be designing high
end computers?
Is this the same Steve who used to make irc chats for webtv and also he is a
Bulls fan? He used to hang out in Dr. Feelgood's message board and harrass
every teenage kid who tried to make a irc chat page thinggie. I remember
also when he flooded classic bob zero's message board a few years ago.
He doesn't work. He used to claim that he was disabled after a back injury
he got while working at international paper. If this is the same guy, I
don't know. If it is, he certainly is a looser. There are pics of him on
the internet, but I don't know where they are.

Is this the same guy that is posting as graphite? I have always wondered
why he is full of such anger. Maybe he doesn't get any sex.

Personally, I don't think that anyone really knows definitely, and for
sure. But Steve, [aka. "sss2333", "Dr. Cue", "Hitman", "Trouble58",
etc.] are definitely all the same person.
A while back, Steve [aka. "sss2333", "Dr. Cue", "Hitman", "Trouble58",
etc.] suddenly vanished, and "Graphite 500" showed up, and started
posting. And because of the similarities in their posting, and writing
styles, some have suggested that all of these various people are one,
and the same person. Namely, Steve! The one, and the same Steve as is
mentioned in the article posted above, and earlier.

Thank you, at least there is one voice of reason in this group. I
don't know Steve but I'ld like to think he maybe pops in to the group,
once in a while to see the resident trailer trash (they know who they
are) have been talking to themselves for an entire year now, flaming
him through me in posts that no one will ever reads.
A typical WebTV (or X-WebTV) troll thinks, "I am the smartest person
in the world, and everybody on the Internet worships my great
knowlege, except for this one dumbass, who is just too stupid to
understand how great I am, and keeps coming back under a thousand
different screen names to flame my ass off."

Correction, he didn't suddenly vanish. We were both posting here for
some time, and the only similarites in our posts were that, we were
both feed up with certain "regs" in this group, who were posting
totaly made up BS unchallenged by other "regs", just becase they were
"regs". Neither of us was afraid to flame anyone who posted lies and
BS here. Other then that we had nothing in common. He hated Macs, as
much as I hate Windows.
