I am thinking of getting Comcast Internet. I have an excellent service using Sonic Fusion, but because of my distance from the CO I get only about 5.5 down and about 0.9 up. It is bundled with an excellent (POTS) phone service for $50/month.

It seems that Comcast is the only alternative, since UVerse is not available (West Sunnyvale).

Where and how do I get a decent deal on a 15-25 download and about 5-10 upload. The website is confusing with a lot of gotchas. Any deals available that wont jack up the prices after 6 months

So call them and negotiate the price you want. Fuck ordering through the
Web site. If the price they offer is too high, stick with what you have
and try again another time when there might be another price.

Don't worry about the sucker rate. There's always another deal, or you can
go back to DSL. I don't know exactly what you're paying for now, but damn,
that seems like a high price, $20 more per month than I pay.
