[buzzer sounds] Go back to hi skool. :-)
It's a Curly-ism, from The Three Stooges.
He meant to say "I resent that remark" if you want it to make English
sense, but the brilliant writers thought of a way for him to be 'dumb' and
say it the way he did.

I think the following contenders have a good chance of making the cut:

> Dennis Cole (Actor)
> Pernell Roberts (Actor)

I too, would think that Pernell Roberts would be a lock, given two tv
series successes. I believe he also hosted another on true FBI
stories.
Art Linkletter could possibly get a stand alone tribute. But then
again, Steve Allen didn't.
If Allyn Ferguson makes it, then so too should composer Vic Mizzy, who
wrote at least two classic themes ('The Adams Family', 'Green
Acres').
I would venture to say that Pernell Roberts and Lou Jacobi have a
better shot than either Dennis Hopper or Patricia Neal (though I would
regard either of them locks for the Oscar obits reel).

Patricia Neal deserves to be there for her performance in "The
Homecoming", the TV movie that served as the pilot for "The Waltons"
and for an extensive career in television drama
I think she's a lock for Luanne.
> Dennis Cole (Actor)
Had pretty good roles in three TV series
> Pernell Roberts (Actor)
An absolute lock.
> Dorothy Provine (Actress)
Starred in The Roaring Twenties and The Alaskans.

Weighing in late here, but couldn't agree more. You must
move Roberts up.

Brittany Murphy (Voice Actress)

Not likely. None have major American TV credits.
Penny from Sky King has a better chance than any of them.
I expect Lena Horne to make the cut. She was a staple on variety shows
in the 50s and 60s. Even had her own special once.
Just how shortly before an awards show has anyone managed to die and
still be in its obit reel?
