Good God. What a horrendous moment for everyone.

Islam is gathering strength throughout the world because people who have
strong feelings about religion are not being accepted by the secular
culture.

I believe in the freedom to marry anyone. As an American, that is what
the Constitution clearly spells out: Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of
Happiness.

Secularists, for some strange reason, don't believe that human beings
have an instinct for religion. Why they act like it's not important to
recognize religion is beyond me, other than humans are not very wise by
nature.

So you see what is happening? The non-religious, who govern the West,
are driving the religious into the arms of Islam, because Islam is
emerging as the only counter-voice to what religious-seekers are
listening for.

Islam is stronger than non-religion. As Christianity dies, as it is,
Islam is rising to take its place in Man's inborn desire for a
relationship with God.

It seems to me that the non-religious would court Christians with ardor
in order to keep Christianity as a stronger counter-weight to Islam,
which takes no prisoners in matters of morals.

Oh, well. Nobody ever takes my advice. lol

I don't believe in the freedom to define "marry" as not necessarily
uniting male to female.(LL&PoH is from the Declaration of Independence,
and does not appear in the Constitution).

I consider myself "secularist" though emphatically not atheist...
I would say there is an instinct toward acknowledging the infinite
that can be warped into adhering to religion.

I don't think so,gravitating to extremism doesn't mean everyone
will choose the same extreme.

If you convert one religion on a "matter of morals",you just cross
that religion off as a potential home for those firmly opposed to
your opinion on that matter...you don't change those people's minds.

Louis, religion is political. As Christianity wanes, political power
will rise with Muslim influence. Christians created Western values, one
of which is you don't kill people because they live in a different
manner. That's what I mean about gays forging bonds with Christians,
not trying to destroy the bonds, which are inherently there from the
"Love Thy Neighbor" clause.

And you gotta admit that clause is enacted pretty damn well here in the
U.S.

The right to marry who one chooses is part of the foundation that says
Life, Liberty, and Pursuit of happiness. It doesn't have to be spelled
out for christ's sakes. If you want to do it, and it's not hurting your
neighbor's property or life, then you have the goddamn right. That's
uniquely American. I think all these bloody ass victim groups should
ally with Christians against what the real problem is gonna be: in 20
years when a gay's dick is cut off for "sinning against He Who Shall Not
Be Depicted".

But "marry" DOES spell out "opposite-sex partner" to anyone
who understands what the word is supposed to mean and why
any government would need to care about it.

What you do in private does not give you the right
to redefine public institutions.Part of "Love thy
neighbor" is "Friends don't let friends...".

The "gays" create the problem by refusing to accept that their
self-definition by their weakness for a bad habit is an act of
anti-social self-harm.Their best interests lie in ceasing to do
so,and continuing to offer them needed correction is not "hate"!
