Apparently doing much better. Received the following from our local
'oldies' radio station:

Listen to Oldies 104.3 WOMC all weekend for your chance to win tickets
to see Gordon Lightfoot at the Fox Theater on August 12. We're
starting Friday at 3, and will be giving tickets away throughout the
weekend!

So he's touring again, but I won't be at the concert since that's a
work night. I'll try to keep my eyes open for a print interview or
photo.

Yes, he did, performing "Let It Ride," "If You Could Read My Mind," and
"Restless." AOL still has the video up at

He looked awful at Live 8 in Toronto.

You haven't seen him in a while, then. Natural sunlight does nobody any
favors, LOL, but in the spotlight on stage at Massey Hall in May he
looked (and sounded) pretty good. He'll be 67 in November and has been
skinny since he gave up drinking and took up running in the early
1980s. Unfortunately he still smokes, which doesn't help.

Go to
http://www.corfid.com/ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=003211#000004
for a shot from Massey, and scroll down for more. If the link doesn't
work, go to www.corfid.com and enter "Massey pics" in the search box
under "Discussion Groups."

Even if Gordon hadn't suffered the horrible health condition he did,
as he ages he might have looked skinny and craggy anyway. Considering
what he's been through and the *miracle* of his recovery, just being
able to perform again on stage makes him look WONDERFUL! Is he
supposed to look like he did at 30? I think it's downright cruel to
criticize his appearance at this point. He looks just the way he's
supposed to right now! He's worked very, very hard to recover and
needs to be commended in every way. My 2 cents ...
