Iranian director Rasoul Molla-Gholipour has died at the age of 51,
reportedly of a heart attack while on a film shoot in Iran.
Gholipour's war movies, "Ofogh (Horizon)," and "Mim Mesi-e-Maadar (M
as in Mother)," earned him awards and accolades at home and abroad,
the Iranian news agency ISNA said Tuesday.
Gholipour belonged to a generation of Iranian directors who mainly
focused on social themes and the sociological consequences of the
country's eight-year war with Iraq, the agency said.
Gholipour died Monday.
