Ordinarily, when I download a CD that's still commercially available, it's for
evaluation purposes...if I deem it a keeper, I then go out and buy it, partly to
make sure I've got all the package artwork, and partly because I think it's
important to support the artist financially....
I still got Paris's CD in download form, and a couple of the tunes are actually
pretty good...but I've held off making it legal so far because I don't think she
needs the money....r

After 45 days I'd be willing to bet that the carpet and the drapes no

And on top of that, I'll bet that a few inmates will be able to
testify to that effect, and you will see their stories showing up in
the tabloids.
Get the popcorn ready, because there's a miniseries coming out of

News reports at the time of her arrest for the parole violation stated
that the car was impounded. I believe it was also mentioned that it
could be confiscated. At over $200,000 (Australian dollars, in an
online article I visually scanned recently), the car would be quite a
prize were it forcefully relinquished.

If this particular heiress wishes to thumb her rich little nose at
laws meant to govern everyone, she should pay a price commensurate
with her ability to pay when breaking them.
As an adult male who appreciates her female form and penchant for free
love and exhibitionism, I also feel, conversely, that she is a serious
detriment to propriety insofar as parents of impressionable teenagers,
both male and female, have a hard enough time raising kids without
them emulating a slut such as Paris Hilton.
Her only true claim to fame is the ability to utilize the services of
vapid media entities for keeping her name at the forefront of
sensationalist publications and audio-visual enterprises.
Manipulating media to flaunt herself, and maintain status, as a role
model for future sluts, slatterns, trollops, and like-minded immature
males, is not positive behavior for building character within the
youth of today who comprise the majority audience for her antics.
Sure, media is also to blame, but, it is she who plays them like a game.
I would feel better appreciating her via more subdued methods than
openly viewing, and being nearly force-fed, so-called news of her
exploits emblazoned across every known headline and website in
existence. I'm certainly no prude, but, I'd gladly relegate my
heterosexual titillation adventuring to private searches than having
this *hoo-er* openly touted in media space better suited for news
coverage of real heroes and people worthy of emulation and
appreciation. We need a hero, not a zero.

In other words Mark, read between the lines.
Fat Billy Cmelak, a/k/a the Hoodoo Troll, is a notorious psychopath
and stalker. He has threatend several people over the years,
including some dude in a machine tools newsgroup that he recently
openly threatened to drive down to some town in Wisconsin and whoop.
In reality, Cmelak is a lonely old dude, piss poor and broke, who
lives in a mobile home in the woods somewhere in Bumfuck (Pearson0
Wisconsin and who seldom leaves his mobile home.
Neighbors say that he looks like Haystacks Calhoun, but with bad
teeth. He is scared to death to let any information about him get
out.
He watches television damned near 24/7.
He has no friends and no family. His only wife left him over a decade
ago.
He is insanely jealous of those who have done better than him.
He is insanely jealous of those who have better social skills than him
and who are more popular than him.
He barely got out of a high school geared for slow learning kids
(Juneau **Business** Charter High School)
He flunked out of technical school.
The last vehicle that he would admit to owning is a 1980's vintage
military truck. Previous to that it was a rusty 1980's F-150 Ford.
To say that he's not exactly in the class to buy, understand,
appreciate, or even see a Bentley on the street is an understatement.
His best buds online are, in no particular order, an old woman with a
demonstrated history of stalking others herself, an ex-con junkie that
is such a notorious liar that there is a Time Magazine article that
mentions his involvement in multiple murder cases, and a 15 year old
kid who is an admitted male prostitute.
Now he wants to "discipline" a young girl that doesn't live by his
"standards."
Is there anything much creepier than that?

It seems to me that Ms. Hilton is a scofflaw and her mother is also
disrespectful of the law. If Ms. Hilton can afford legal counsel on
the level of Elliot Mintz, she could easily afford lawyers of lesser
stature merely to explain in detail just what her driving restrictions
were after the loss of license.

Hilton was among a series of witnesses who took the stand during the
hearing. She testified she believed her license was initially
suspended for 30 days and that she was allowed to drive for work
purposes during the next 90 days.
She said that when an officer who stopped her in January made her sign
a document stating her license was suspended, she thought he was
mistaken and did not actually look at the document.
Also called to the stand was Hilton's spokesman, Elliot Mintz. Hilton
and her attorneys characterized Mintz as a liaison between Hilton and
her lawyers.
Mintz testified that to his knowledge Hilton did not drive during the
30-day period. He said he then advised her that he believed her
license was no longer suspended.
The judge called Mintz's testimony worthless and expressed disbelief
at Hilton's lawyers.
"I can't believe that either attorney did not tell her that the
suspension had been upheld," the judge said. "She wanted to disregard
everything that was said and continue to drive no matter what."
Hilton's parents, Kathy and Rick, attended the hearing, holding hands
throughout the proceedings. Both wore black suits. Kathy Hilton's
beige, $3,000-plus Hermes bag sat on the floor by her side.
Reporters filled most of the 64-seat courtroom. Two sketch artists sat
in the otherwise empty jury box.
When the judge announced Hilton's sentence, the reporters in
attendance jumped up to leave until a bailiff snapped, "Sit down."
Cell phones and other electronic devices were not allowed in the
courtroom.
As a city prosecutor said during closing arguments that Hilton
deserved jail time, Hilton's mother, Kathy, laughed. When the judge
ruled, Kathy Hilton then blurted out: "May I have your autograph?"
Paris Hilton looked forward and didn't speak to news media as she left
court. Her mother looked upset.
When a reporter asked what she thought of the judge's decision, a
visibly angry Kathy Hilton responded: "What do you think? This is
pathetic and disgusting, a waste of taxpayer money with all this
nonsense. This is a joke."
Defense attorney Howard Weitzman said he would appeal.
"I'm shocked, I'm surprised and really disheartened in the system that
I've worked in for close to 40 years," Weitzman said.
He said the sentence was "uncalled for, inappropriate and bordered on
the ludicrous."
"I think she's singled out because of who she is," Weitzman said.
City attorney spokesman Nick Velasquez said late Friday that the
judge's ruling "sends a clear message that in the city of Los Angeles,
no one is above the law."
"She violated the law and appropriate action was taken," he said.
Hilton had arrived at the Metropolitan Courthouse 10 minutes late and
ignored screams of photographers as she swept in with her attorneys,
mother and father. Wearing a gray jacket and white shirt over black
slacks and with a black headband on, she said nothing and appeared
serious.
The celebrity case brought an unusual scene to the austere courthouse
south of downtown in a commercial area. As if at a red carpet event,
dozens of photographers and reporters lined up at the rear entrance.
Yellow police tape substituted for velvet ropes.
Hilton, 26, pleaded no contest in January to reckless driving stemming
from a Sept. 7 arrest in Hollywood. Police said she appeared
intoxicated and failed a field sobriety test. She had a blood-alcohol
level of .08 percent, the level at which an adult driver is in
violation of the law.
She was sentenced to 36 months probation, alcohol education and $1,500
in fines.
Two other traffic stops and failure to enroll in a mandated alcohol
education program, are what landed the socialite back in court.
On Jan. 15, Hilton was pulled over by California Highway Patrol.
Officers informed her that she was driving on a suspended license and
she signed a document acknowledging that she was not to drive,
according to papers filed in Superior Court.
Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies stopped Hilton on Feb. 27 and
charged her with violating her probation. Police said she was pulled
over at about 11 p.m. after authorities saw the car speeding with its
headlights off.
Mintz said at the time Hilton wasn't aware her license was suspended.
A copy of the document Hilton signed on Jan. 15 was found in the car's
glove compartment, court papers say.
Hilton was also required to enroll in an alcohol education program by
Feb. 12. As of April 17, she had not enrolled, prosecutors said.

I agree with you, to a point. Hilton has deliberately used the "role
model" image to garner publicity, though, and that's where I think some
responsibility lies. Her clothes, music, jewelry, involvement in
various teen awards and campaigns, etc. is all directed toward teen
girls. There's something fundamentally wrong with a society that
willingly promotes someone like Hilton as a role model, knowing that
she's making plenty of money by pretending to be someone girls can look
up to while, in reality, being a skanky, drunk driving ho.
Yes, girls who emulate Hilton are idiots. Still, I do hold Hilton
herself responsible for some of that. If she's going to pretend to be a
role model to sell useless crap, then the role model criticism she gets
is very much deserved.
