At the time of his passing, Alex Pitko was #3 on the list of
oldest-living former Major Leaguers, behind only Connie Marrero (born May
1, 1911 age 100) and Ace Parker (born May 7, 1912 age 99).

With the death of Alex Pitko there are now unofficially only 7 players
still living who played in a regular season game prior to January 1, 1940.
