Better instead say your prayers for the House Democrats (but 34 bravely
and defiantly voted against it) who defied their constituents' strong wishes
in one poll after another in demanding this piece of un-Constitutional
intervention in their personal and economic lives they vociferously opposed!
You call *that* a "democracy' ???
If this vote doesn't destroy that nonsense, nothing will!
FOUR votes the other way and it would have lost, despite all the
arm-twisting, bribery, and all the other Democratic tricks.

The PEOPLE will remember who voted for this unconstitutional bill in
November!

MAINE'S congress, Mike Michaud and Chellie Pingree both Dems voted YES.

Her first opponent Republican Dean Scontras annonced today he will run. I
think he can beat her and there will be more. She may very well get
challenged from her own party.

Pingree made the error of publicly supporting health care too early.

She is a 1st term congresswoman and she has run for this seat for years.

IMHO...She committed political suicide Sunday. The natives aren't too happy

Now... Michaud held out, but we all knew he'd vote YES. He's well liked
because he's a working man. He worked at the papermill in Millinocket for
years.

His gimmick is carrying around a lunch pail when he's campaining. It works.

Remember...Michaud held out until the 11th hour. I think Michaud will keep
his seat after they announce what many of us want up here.

All you have to do is look at a map of MAINE and something is missing.

An east - west highway from New Brunswick to Quebec.

I call it the You Can't Get From Here Highway

NOT NO MORE.

AYUH...the MIKE "LUNCH PAIL" MICHAUD HIGHWAY.

I want this highway, but I want it to be a privately built and funded and
paid for with tolls.

Unfortunately, I'll never use it because it's against my religion to pay
tolls.

Book of Mark 8:17 Mark doesn't pay tolls by order of the BIG GUY

I know he got something for this vote.

Republicans dead? Where have I heard that before? It has a kind of
a familar refrain.

Anyway I'm sure all those dead republicans will be anxious to have a
looksee in 11th hour Mike's lunch pail when he gets home - just to see
exactly how big his piece of the pie was that the nice lady, Mrs.
Pelosi, sliped in there for him.

You know, I've wondered about those guys with the really big lunch
pails ever since I heard Johnny Cash sing One Piece at a Time.

Whip the map out.

Northern MAINE, my home is MIKE "LUNCH PAIL" MICHAUD'S district.

I now live in Pingree's district.

My educated guess is to extend I-95 to route 11 north into CANADA tie into
the Trans Canadian Highway and by pass the border at Houlton.

If he didn't get something for my people I'll be pissed.

The reliable polls (i.e., those not quoted by Pubbies and Tea Baggers)
show that 70% of the American people want health care reform.

So, your theory seems a bit flat-earthish.

I know you didn't.

It got testy at work early Monday morning.

I never talk politics at work because I go to oil terminals and they are my
customers. You know I'm annoying and can't shut up here. At work I'm totally
different. I don't even bad mouth those annoying LOW LIFE YANKEE FANS at
work

The last thing I want to do is offend a customer.

I work with a guy that I don't care for. I've been working with petroleum
for 26 years and he's been in two years. Of course he knows more than me, he
had masters degree in something. He keeps reminding me of that. That fancy
degree won't help him if he accidently falls into Casco Bay and I have to
throw him a life ring.

Sunday night, waiting to get on a ship he said something about President
Obama in front of a customer. I was very upset with him and now I have a
pissed off customer who is also my friend.

We went upstairs in his office and he's screaming at me. I got him calmed
down. My friend is high strung and I don't blame him for being upset.

Now I have to waste an hour out of my life Friday with my coworker to tell
him to smarten up.

I can't tell him to go fuck himself because I did that last year and he
pointed at me and told me not to swear at him. I felt I needed to turn
myself in and confess my non pc slip to my boss. He didn't have a problem
with it.

I don't know what I'm going to say to my coworker and I'm afraid I'm going
to lose my temper.

And the polls that ask the question that way are intellectually
dishonest.

kenny is the left's version of roy sans rants, but with the same

brian can speak for himself, but i'll venture that no answer was going
to get him 'out from under this one' because you're not interested in
discourse. you're a smug, self-righteous, seemingly more intelligent
version of roy, but a version of roy nonetheless. no matter what
answer brian may have given you, you would have had nothing more than
a smart-ass, 2nd rate talking point for a response. failing that,
you'd get personal.

That's about it.

I'm tired of wasting time discussing issues with people who have no
intention of actually discussing them.

If someone has actual, reasonable thoughts and ideas that can be
presented without insult, that's fine.
