Shelly started the emergency residency program at Einstein (as
well as the program in PA) and the paramedic program in NYC.
He was the driving force behind all that is good about paramedics in NYC
beginning with his original pilot program in the Bronx. He left a legacy
of 1,000s of dedicated, compassionate, healthcare providers who he trained
and was a role model for.
It is hard to imagine how many medics and MDs whose careers Shelly had
such a tremendous influence on...

Dr. Sheldon Jacobson passed away at home last night [Mon. eve] after a
battle with pancreatic cancer.
A funeral service is tentatively scheduled for this Thursday,
July 2 at 11:45 at the Riverside Memorial Chapel, 76th Street
and Amsterdam Avenue in Manhattan. 212-362-6600.
