Travelites (www.travelites.info) members from around the Carolinas and
Georgia gathered for what has become an annual event at Sunair thanks
to members Roy Luke and Mark Christopher, Ham Radio enthusiasts. With
a temporary-strung antenna, Travelites were able to again have this
special event during whichthey were able to speak with the
Indianapolis Speedway as well as locations in Ohio and Alabama. There
were hopes of speaking with Texas, but unfortunately that didn't
happen. Photos will be posted in CherisTravelites on Yahoo where only
actual members can visit.

After enjoying a few games of top toss-aka boulder toss-and ping pong,
The luau was yummy with a capital "Y." Beef brisket as well as pork
barbecue, macaronni and cheese, string bean casserole, and baked beans
were enjoyed. Homemade brownies and chocolate cherry ice cream topped
off the meal perfectly. Ms. Eveylyn was brought a plate along with a
lei to thank her for allowing Travelites the privilege of visiting
this little piece of heaven.

During the afternoon at least two strolled around the grounds and
Sunair Health Park's pond. The club members are trying to decide if
Travelites can visit more often.

The next event will be our annual Toga Party on August 1st at Allen
and Cheri's home.
The volleyball net will be up, the 2 new top toss games will be
available as well as horseshoes, and of course, the hot tub. There is
plenty of shade and sun to enjoy either on the lawn or on the deck.
The fun begins at 2:30 with potluck supper @ 6:30. Please let me know
if you'll be joining us and what y'all will be bringing for potluck.

On August 29th, Travelites will again be visiting Bob & Mindi's home
for a potluck lunch
and pool party. Over Labor Day Weekend, we'll be are planning to visit
Whispering Pines again. Let Cheri know if you'll be need
accommodations at the park that's only getting better.

September will also see members and other friends enjoying a lunchtime
potluck on Sept. 26 as well as fiish fry and Patriots' party on Sept.
12 at which time the annual club auction will end. At that event also,
members will confirm the calendar for 2010 including the East Coast
Nude Chili Cookoff at Cedar Creek on January 9th to which clubs from
the entire Eastern Seaboard are invited to compete.
