If I have any integrity at all, I must leave.
I welcome others to do so as well if they refuse to be led by a group
of unthinking drones that are stuck in such a mindnumbingly predictable
pattern of snuh/attack/snuh/attack/penises/attack/snuh/rectum/attack/.

above the bank hotel in edinburgh, scotland, there is fixed to the
facade, a giant neon sign the width of the building. it reads:
"let's talk about art... maybe." it is never lit up.

Shiver in my bones just thinking about the weather
Quiver in my voice as I cry
"What a cold and rainy day. Where on earth is the sun hid away?"

I am new to this game of news groups or anything like same. However, the
experience of seeing Johnann's work is eye opening to say the least, even
though it is digital in this medium. It is really quite refreshing. I would
not liken his work to de Koonings in any way; de Kooning is far heavier and
sombre in tone.
The impression is that this is a very 'young' newswgroup. This gives the
chance for some inspired if not inspirational discussion. Setting rules for
what is modern or modernism or even post-modern might be misplaced in this
instance although I am always willing to be corrected by my peers.
I am nonplussed by the remarks by JA15x62(?) regarding Edinburgh's Bank
Hotel. Edinburgh is my home city and I haven't a clue what he is writing
about. The Bank Hotel is never an icon in this city. Perhaps I am not as
observant as I thought I was.

Moderated: I don't know how you create a moderated newsgroup, but
moderated newgroups are superiour in that spam, trolls, and flames, don't
get through.
Just my 2 cents for what it's worth.

Did Picasso choose his name because it sounds like "pick ass, oh!"?
Did Braque choose his name cause he pictures look like everything's
broken (i.e. braken) or brackish, as in kind of festering?
Is Lucian Freud really related to Sigmund or is he some totalass
fakeout poseur pretending to be a Freud like Whoopie Goldberg or
sumfin?
Does David Hockney really want people to hock up loogies when they see
his work?
Why is there no modern art in California and so much in
Constantinople?
Did Picasso choose his name because it sounds like "pick ass, oh!"?
Some homework is needed here.

Neither does any personality.
All the girls in Constantinople
live in Istanbul, not Constantinople
so if you've got a date in Constantinople
remember that "de Kooning is far heavier"
according to Jeremy Preston.
and *they're* both in California,
according to expert observers in Istanbul
because its a cold and rainy winter day
